This toy is simple to use! Kids can grab one of the two included motion-activated bands to learn new dance moves and then put the new moves together to dance along to eight original tracks. When they are done, they will receive a dance score.

This is a fun toy for kids, with 5-7 probably being the ideal age range. Kids 3 or 4 could use this with some adult help. The scoring system isn’t harsh, so kids won’t feel like they’re failing with this. There are lots of options and different beats. Not only is it fun, but it also gets kids moving and teaches them rhythm.
I wasn’t quite sure how my grandsons would like the Vtech Star Dance as they are really into sports, and they are boys. At first, they were hesitant when I showed them what it does and what they can do with it. I walked out of the room to let them experiment on their own and within 20 minutes they were dancing around and loving it! They had so much fun, and I am so pleased they like it. It is very easy to use and has multi-functions to keep their interest. It stores easily on a shelf as it is small but it packs a punch. They love it and so do I.
