ALDI is bringing its low-cost groceries to even more areas of the US!
ALDI is continuing its nationwide expansion across the US with the addition of approximately 100 new stores in 2021. The retailer is focusing on growing its physical footprint in Arizona, California, Florida, and the Northeast.
Along with it’s highly-anticipated physical expansion, ALDI is also planning to broaden its eCommerce offerings. The company will add Curbside Grocery Pickup service to 500 additional stores by the end of 2021, bringing the total number of curbside locations to more than 1,200 stores. ALDI will also continue to offer grocery delivery via Instacart in almost all of its stores.
ALDI’s expansion will also include the construction of its 26th regional headquarters in Loxley, Alabama, already underway. This new facility will support the company’s growth in the Gulf Coast region, including 35 new stores that are scheduled to open there by the end of 2022. ALDI’s new regional headquarters will employ over 200 people and serve stores in Alabama, Southern Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Florida Panhandle.
“We’re incredibly proud to continue growing in all aspects of our business, from opening new stores to enhancing our eCommerce offerings, especially in light of the challenges businesses have faced in the last year.” – Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI U.S.
At the conclusion of this phase of ALDI’s expansion, the retailer will have over 2,000 stores in 38 states.
