Along with it’s highly-anticipated physical expansion, ALDI is also planning to broaden its eCommerce offerings. The company will add Curbside Grocery Pickup service to 500 additional stores by the end of 2021, bringing the total number of curbside locations to more than 1,200 stores. ALDI will also continue to offer grocery delivery via Instacart in almost all of its stores.

ALDI’s expansion will also include the construction of its 26th regional headquarters in Loxley, Alabama, already underway. This new facility will support the company’s growth in the Gulf Coast region, including 35 new stores that are scheduled to open there by the end of 2022. ALDI’s new regional headquarters will employ over 200 people and serve stores in Alabama, Southern Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, and the Florida Panhandle.

“We’re incredibly proud to continue growing in all aspects of our business, from opening new stores to enhancing our eCommerce offerings, especially in light of the challenges businesses have faced in the last year.” – Jason Hart, CEO, ALDI U.S.

At the conclusion of this phase of ALDI’s expansion, the retailer will have over 2,000 stores in 38 states.

I like Aldi. But man why do they throw your groceries in the cart so hard? It’s like they hate you or you groceries so much lol

    • Lisa

Wow, I’ve never had that happen to me at Aldi’s. The cashiers always go above and beyond. Do you do the survey’s at the end of your receipts? I hate going to my Aldi’s… always buy more than I should! 🙂

      • Claudia

I never had that happen to me either. They have always been super nice.

    • Becca

Yes I have had a few who do this , so I know exactly what you are talking about! Lol luckily it’s only happened a few times!

Aldi has so many good products that I can’t get anywhere else. I love this store!!!

    • jbernock

I’ve heard they are strictly timed on their speed. Ours move very quickly, which I appreciate, and I haven’t had the “throwing so hard” issue, but I can see where that would happen.

    Love Aldi!

I wish we had an aldi! I drive an hour and a half once a month to hit up aldi and sam’s. I know several people who do.

Our Aldi in NYC is small, old and dark. They have remodeled or moved a lot of them in the Tri-State area. Not ours! Still like it, but hard to shop, there is a line every morning when it opens.

Shop on Friday and Saturday nights. Most grocery stores are slower, then. Also Tuesday and Wednesday around 10am. I worked in a grocery store for ten years, and my days off were always Tuesday and Wednesday, because they were the slowest days.

I wish also would come to Colorado!

I soooo want one in Metro Denver !! There are so many empty places here !!

I was so excited when they opened some stores in the Phoenix, AZ market. I haven’t been impressed at all. It’s only 10,000 square feet and very disorganized and low quality products. Hopefully they get better

    • Lisha

I feel the same about the ones in NYC. To me it looks like subpar produce and seafood. I think the danishes are not comparatively priced.

    • Hititpearl

Same. I don’t get what all the hubbub was about. It’s tiny!!!

We have a couple new ones open up in nj and they are not the aldi of yesteryears ! We love the selection of fruits and veg and junk food and baked goods and i have even bought many many “specialty” home goods and clothing items.

I became a fan of Aldis about 4 years ago when I moved to a place with limited grocery shopping options ( I was used to multiple large chain grocery stores before). My Aldi is updated and pleasant. The produce selection can be limited-I love fresh corn which it rarely has, but getting through store and checkout is very fast. Food quality and prices are good. I’ve been to other aldis where it is not so great.

    • Jodi P

Fresh corn is only available May-Sept, with peak months July & August. If you find ears of corn any other time of year, it’s really old.

I rarely go to Aldi’s, mostly I go to buy Orchids and such, they are really nice at a nice price. The reason is that they never have more than 1 cashier, no matter how busy they are and I refuse to stand behind 10 cartloads when I have 2 items.

I wish they would come to Belton, South Carolina
