I have this. When I was moving, I had hundreds of magazines to get rid of (Martha Stewart Living and Real Simple). I took them to the local library but didn’t want to have to cut my address off of all those covers. This worked great!

I bought this for stocking stuffers for my adult kids. I get a lot of magazines (90% are freebies), I give them to my sister’s daughter-in-law who has a hair salon and I don’t want my name on them. I use this a lot. It doesn’t take a lot of ink to cover, just one swipe.

I’ve had mine for about 6 months and like it. I did find that I have to let the ink dry to see end results. I swipe once and then backward over the same place and it’s done. I have a very small place so this takes up less room and doesn’t make a loud sound like a shredder would.

  1. Just wondering aloud

With all of our information available on the dark web now, I have to wonder who’s bothering to go through trash to possibly harvest one viable piece of information? Illinois alone has had one million fraudulent unemployment claims. The volume and nature of the claims suggests that digital information is far more lucrative than a physical piece of mail that somebody may get lucky to stumble upon in the trash.

I have these. I do what I can to keep safe online and this is a really good extra layer for covering my signature and account members on paper receipts and bills. You never know what lengths others will go to cash in on your personal info.

I caught a neighbor trying to steal mail from my recycling trash bin not too long ago. It’s always better to be safe than sorry. There’s still people doing the old school method.

  2. Rebeca

I used to shred at a friend’s house and I cant anymore. I do think it is important to destroy important documents, I just wished these stamps did not say “Confidential”, I feel they draw attention to my recycled paper.

You can order some without Confidental. I use one like this and really like the ease of use!

    • Suzmorea

It looks like the red one doesn’t have the word confidential in the images on amazon

  3. VickiL

Mine don’t say confidential. I use the stamps on Rx bottles that the sticky label won’t come off of.
