Does anyone else tend to have issues getting rewards from Walgreens? I feel like I will get to the correct limit to trigger rewards but never get what I am expecting. Does anyone else have these problems?

    • hey401

      I have the same problem.

    • Holly

Yes, and my coupons never apply.

      • Lori

I have the same problem with coupons not applying.

Don’t rely on the first screen. Add the actual dollars coming from your own pocket plus the actual manufacturer’s coupons ( not Walgreens coupons, not percent off codes, not MyWalgreens cash, not store discounts, not $5 off $20 coupons etc.)

  2. Sam

Does this work for order pickup?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      YES!

  3. zee

Yes, I have had issues on getting my rewards too, sometimes I feel like it’s so cumbersome to fight for it. It shows when I check out what I am supposed to get, and then gets adjusted after the purchase and sometimes they take it all out.

  4. Sam

For the crest toothpaste, there is crest pro health for $2.99 (+ $2 coupon). Does this toothpaste qualify for the $5 reward back? How do I which ones qualify?

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

That one does not qualify. If you look on the product page under the price, it will tell you if it is part of the $5 rewards deal.

  5. acgold

It keeps telling me that this and the Garnier shampoos are not available, even though it shows available at my store. Never have luck with the Walgreens offers.

  6. Aly

Yup, I agree too. Walgreens cash is very iffy. I almost never get the estimated amt they show. If you know exactly what you’re getting, you can call customer service and they’ll give it to you. I like cvs extrabucks much better. Too bad CVS doesn’t do order pickups.

    • Chip

Oh my gosh yes! I called as I got nothing when it was supposed to be 8.00 w cash on an order and the customer service lady was a tad ridiculous, she said the system was changing and there are bugs that won’t allow stacking and that I wasn’t supposed to get that cash back as it is “estimated”. No advice as to how to shop wiser in the future with regards to their w cash. She did give it to me on goodwill but said she was putting it on my account that “I have been educated on the policy”. Sadly, can’t believe Walgreens cash.

Chip if you read my post above that’s exactly how you calculate accurately. Forget the estimated screen-I wish they would get rid of it. Read their coupon policy in their help center as a starting point. It is tough to learn but it is quite logical. If it makes money for WAGS you earn points. If it is a discount or store coupon or is redeemed points it doesn’t count.

    • Kim C.

My response from Customer Service was the same as Chip’s. Really irritating. My order was exactly as I placed it, nothing was out of stock or changed. Yet I did not get my Walgreens Cash. I ended up returning it. I told Customer Service it was a clear case of “bait and switch” – they get you to order with promise of cash back and don’t give it. I started looking back at old orders and saw it had been happening consistently and I just didn’t realize it.

Every time I try a deal at Walgreens it doesn’t turn out. I bought 3 of the Crest/Oral B items. Each had a $2 digital coupon from the Walgreens app. Plus I was supposed to get $5 register reward. I did not. I was going to roll that RR to my next order but since it didn’t print I couldn’t so the next order was all messed up too. That’s it for me and Walgreens! I’m going back to the store tomorrow and returning everything in both orders. I’m done wasting time at Walgreens.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Aw, I am so sorry it didn’t work out, Judy.

If you decide the return is not worth a trip… You can call Catalina at 1-888-8COUPON, or 1-888-826-8766 with your receipt and products handy from last week and they can mail you the RR you didn’t get.

Is it this week’s deal or a previous week? The deal in this post is for myWalgreens cash not register rewards. Check your account or your receipt if it was this week.

      • Judy

It was this week’s deal. The amount that showed in the receipt for “earned this visit”was .09. So I did not get the $5 rewards listed in the ad. Like I said in my earlier post shopping at Walgreens for these deals is a waste of my time.

I’m so very sorry. I’ve had ups and downs myself at Walgreens. I hope you find better experiences elsewhere.

HIP2SAVE can you please post your excellent Walgreens tip article prominently so people can read it? I think it would help a lot of people.

    Dear Hip2Save,
There are 2 different deals going on at Walgreens for Crest products. There is this post where you earn MyWalgreens cash and another where there are RRs that print. People are not understanding that you can’t mix and match the varieties for each deal. Could you repost this explaining that these are different deals? I hate to see people upset because they don’t understand that RRs and MyWalgreens cash are different and that these are not the same deal.

Thanks a bunch for the helpful request! I’ll be sure to pass this along to the team!

Does Walgreens still do monthly savings book? Can we use coupon from that savings book and app coupon kind of like 2 coupons on 2 items?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Yes they do, Briana! Those offers list a limit of 1 coupon per customer, per offer. Hope this helps!

The Monthly Savings Book is either on a rack by the cash register or by the side of the cash register counter. Whether paper or app it will stack with a manufacturer’s coupon. However you can’t stack the paper version with the app version. At least for me once you use the app version it goes into the “used” section which is why the paper version is useful. Clip only one MSB coupon for a transaction on the same item since it applies across multiple of the same items. You can’t have more coupons than you do items so have a cheap filler item such as a candy bar in mind if that happens.
