I used the PetVet for the first time last month and found it worthwhile. The cost for a microchip for our puppy was $25 (with free lifetime membership) and the cost at our vet was $75, plus a yearly fee. It was first come, first serve, which I didn’t realize, so we needed to wait for about an hour+ to see the vet, but they texted you when it was your turn, so you didn’t have to physically stand in line. Vet and techs were friendly, quick and professional. I would suggest going a little early and getting your name on the list if you are planning to go. We were 7th in line, but a couple of people ahead of us had litters of puppies or multiple dogs that were getting exams/vaccinations, so it took awhile. Also, our location was a vet-type van/camper in the parking lot, not inside the store.

Oh cool! Thanks for the tips and for sharing your experience with us, Bekah!

How can I get my dogs vaccine records. We were in the process of moving and I lost his records

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hey there! Be sure to contact the Tractor Supply Petvet you went to. When I was last at mine, they did set up an account for my cat, so that way they had a record and history of her visits, etc. Hoping this helps!

Absolutely do NOT take your pets to the PetVet clinic at Tractor Supply. We took 3 of our big dogs there for rabies vaccines. The next day Animal Control showed saying they had received a complaint about us having dogs that had “skin conditions” and “flea infestation.” The vet at the clinic had made the complaint. One of the dogs had 2 fleas on him — we live in Florida and battle fleas constantly. One of the dogs is allergic to EVERYTHING and because he is white, his belly can get bright pink as well as the skin on his rear end. But he was looking quite good considering the constant allergies he battles. None of the dogs had any hair loss, all are neutered, well fed, and very happy. They are inside dogs who had to jump off their leather sectional sofa they have claimed as their dog bed to greet the AC officers. In other words they are very much cared for. The AC officers found zero merit to the accusations and just shook they heads at how their time had been wasted on such stupidity. So this is how these ridiculous clinics treat pet owners who are just trying to be responsible and get their pets vaccinated. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

SO very sorry to hear about your experience. I have found my location to be very friendly and super helpful. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.πŸ’–

    • Claudette (Hip Sidekick)
