Plus, there are even desserts like cakes, cookies, tarts and more!
Some recipes that have my mouth watering are the Pumpkin-Apple and Cucumber-Wasabi Tea Sandwiches, Crisp Marinated Brussel Sprouts, Spicy Fried Rice, and Whole Wheat Carrot Gnocchi. 🤤
On the fence? Here’s what reviewers thought…
Awesome book. There are so many recipes and shopping tips in this book. I love the grocery lists and pantry essentials so you can buy healthy food on a budget. It also teaches you how to buy meat, seafood and produce. There are recipes varying from simple to more time-consuming, depending on your cooking abilities.
What I love about this is that I’m an experimenter (never cook anything the same way twice) and the author provides lots of cool variations on recipes to try. I bought this for myself because the book Food Matters was excellent but didn’t have enough recipes in it. I’m on a whole foods diet at the moment for physical training and these recipes are super healthy.
This is my most-used cookbook. Well organized, easy to follow. I like the tips he gives in recipes – substitute cherry tomatoes for jalapeños or use broccoli for spinach or use honeydew melon instead of pineapple. Use what you have on hand.
