I use this and it works really well. The bar stays right on the counter next to the bathroom sink so when it’s time to undress for bathtime, I just take the clothes and spot treat them before I put them in the laundry room.

I have always used this soap to spot clean. When I was having a tough time getting baby stains and blood stains out of a few things, at my daughters house, I unintentionally left them soaking in some fels-naptha soapy water. I returned a few hours later to finish scrubbing the spots and all of the stains were gone. I will be using this method more often, much easier than scrubbing.

How nice! Thanks for telling us how well this has worked for you.

I make a laundry soap with this bar and it’s great!

Love this bar! It’s the only thing that will work when scrubbing my sons’ baseball pants. I use a wet sponge and rub the sponge on the bar, then scrub the pants. I also grate some in the laundry itself. It’s amazing!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you! I know cleaning baseball pants are hard to keep clean!

    • Betz

I second the baseball pants usage! My son loves to slide in the dirt and grass Every. Single. Practice and game 🙂 works like a charm every time!! His pants looked brand new for picture day.

This is the best soap to wash with when exposed to poison ivy. Have used in our family for decades!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the helpful tip, Janet! Good to know!

    • Meg

Wow thank you my property is covered in poison ivy. I never knew this. You just wash with it janet?

      • Stacy

Yep! My husband insisted we keep a bar in the bathroom, he grew up using it for poison ivy & it’s always worked for us! I’ve never actually tried it on laundry but I think I’ll give a shot!

  6. JANET MOYER

Yes, just like any bar of soap, it takes the oils off the skin that is from poison ivy. The sooner you wash the better after exposure to PI.
