Tyson Foods Inc. has issued a recall of more than 8 million pounds of chicken products as a result of potential listeriosis contamination.

Consuming food with Listeria monocytogenes can lead to listeriosis, a potentially serious infection that can cause symptoms like fever, confusion, headache, and muscle aches. It’s of special concern for those who are pregnant, immunocompromised, or over the age of 65.

The U.S Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has identified three listeriosis illnesses related to this recall, including one death, between April 6, 2021, and June 5, 2021.images of recalled Tyson chicken products

According to the recall, frozen, fully cooked chicken products produced between December 26, 2020, and April 13, 2021 could potentially be affected. The products subject to recall were sold in the US and Puerto Rico and have the establishment number ‘EST. P-7089’ on the product bag or inside the USDA mark of inspection. If you have any of these products in your possession, you should dispose of them or return them to the point of purchase for a refund. Consumers with additional questions can call or text 1-855-382-3101 Sunday through Friday from 8 AM until 5 PM CDT.

Do you have any idea whether you can get a refund in these products?
