This book will likely not increase in value but it is beautiful with a spine that has golden lettering with orange accents, an orange Eye of Sauron encircled by runes, and golden rings on the front cover, and an orange facsimile of Tolkien’s autograph on the back cover. The pull-out maps inside both covers are great. The colored glossy photos of leaves of an ancient book are a nice touch. So……bottom line: If you can get this new for under $60 US it’s a 5 star buy. It will last a long time and it will look beautiful on your shelf. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Tolkien is a master writer, with deep, complex characters and a world so realistic and developed that six (12 hour+!) movies fail to do it justice. Here is a series that made modern fantasy literature possible. The series made words like ‘wizard’, ‘dwarf’, and ‘orc’ household names. It is an epic tale that everyone can enjoy, from little hobbits to the oldest gaffer. Can’t say enough good about this, so I’ll let it speak for itself. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
