I wanted to add to my children’s Magna-tiles set. We have had them for about 2 years and the set needed to grow with their imagination. I was hoping to find a cheaper alternative, but I had tried that before with a different brand and was terribly disappointed and ended up returning those. I purchased a small set of Picasso Tiles to see how I like them. These are great! So far, they hold as well as Magna-Tiles and an extra perk is that they have some fun new shapes. Eventually, I plan to purchase more of these because they are so much less expensive than Magna-Tiles and unless time proves otherwise, they work just as well.

And if you are wondering if this type of toy is worth purchasing – my opinion is: absolutely! Even at the much higher price of Magna-tiles, I was intending to purchase more this year for my kids. We have had our tiles for about 2 years and I don’t think they go more than a couple of days without playing with them. Their imaginations sure can run wild and I love to see their creativity. When other kids come over, most of them go looking to play with the tiles right away. I find that people of all ages enjoy them – myself included!
