If I do subscribe and save and split items into 2 different orders, will I get the $10 discount?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Jess! You’ll need to purchase as a single order to score the discount. Here are the details I found – “Items must be purchased in a single order and shipped at the same speed to a single address.”

  2. Lisa

I am not understanding. I add items for S&S but dont see the $10 come off. Do you need to purchase them only ? If I am sure I missed my coffee quota this morning.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

If you are ordering several items to reach the threshold, you can have them all in one order. Just add them all to your cart like a one-time order. After you items are all added, go to your cart and change them to Subscribe & Save (under the price). Then, head to checkout as normal and you should see the discount.

      • Lisa

When I go to my cart, I do not see an option to change the order to S&S under price. I mean I can select how often I want it, but the cart still remains at regular price when checking out (not the S& S). I am not sure if I am not looking in the right place. I have in my cart 1 cascade (green box) dishwasher tab, and 2 of the borax.

        • Lisa

For example, one of them says save 5% now when you sign up for S& S deliveries. The other one says sign up for S&S and get 15% off with 5 or more items. But it does not apply to “this order”. Your post is making it seem like I can get those discounts + the $10 now now. But then maybe I am doing something wrong, but I am not seeing how to do this, other than to S& S the same item up to $40 (not mix and match items). Hope this makes sense.

          • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for all your details. I have the same things added to my cart right now to see what is happening, Lisa. On the Borax ($17.88), I see that you can save 5% today that is removed in my order summary (-$1.79). On the Cascade, my discount is shown in a different spot. I have no idea why. In checkout, scroll down to the Cascade with the little picture and the $16.97 has been crossed out, and underneath in red it says, “$3.22 discount applied”. My total before tax is $37.72 for all three which reflects the discounts including the $10 off multibuy offer. You may be missing it because it’s showing up a little differently. Can you let me know if this helps?

            • Lisa

Hmm I am not sure what to make of this. I see it takes off 5% for today’s purchase of the borax. But for the dishwasher tabs, it doesn’t take off anything, all it says is save 10% on future subscribe and save orders. Here is my checkout: (the regular prices 2 borax @ 17.88 + 1 dishwasher tab @ 16.97 = $52.73. Then I see it took off the $10, and 5% off the borax, but no S&S discount on the dishwasher tab, but I did hit the s&s button on both. I am perplexed.

              Order Summary
              Items (3): $52.73
              Shipping & handling: $0.00
              Multibuy Discount: -$10.00
              Subscribe & Save: -$1.79

              Total before tax: $40.94
Estimated tax to be collected: $3.68
              Order total: $44.62

              • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I see more of what you mean! In our deal scenario above with Cascade, we don’t show it giving the 5% off for the Cascade in our totals – it’s just the Mr. Clean Magic Erasers (it takes off 60¢ for SS). Basically, the Cascade will only save on future SS orders, but it’s still part of the Multibuy $10 discount you do see on your order.

                • Lisa

Still a great deal and saving $10!! Just wasn’t sure if I was missing anything. I think what I will do is order the same thing to just above $40, and S&S, that way I get the best of both worlds: S&S discount on all, + $10 discount.

                  • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

That sounds like a great plan, Lisa! Thanks for stopping by and being a Hip2Saver!

  3. Nichole

    Thanks for the heads up!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      It’s our pleasure, Nichole!

  4. Maggie

Instead of ordering the Mrs. Meyer sprays, the better deal is to instead get a 32-oz. bottle of Mrs. Meyer’s cleaner concentrate (which is also included in this deal). If you already have one of her 16 oz. spray bottles, it only takes about 1/4 c. (2 oz.) of concentrate to make a refill of countertop spray (or use a 1/2 c. to make a stronger spray). At 1/4 c., that means SIXTEEN spray refills out of every bottle of concentrate! The 1/4 c. mixture works great on granite too.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thank you! That’s a really smart and frugal tip, Maggie!
