Some people are a bit leery of just having their email out there. I totally get that. 🤗 I know I like to be cautious. But, I get where you’re coming from too! It’s more convenient to have the email address already out there than to message extra for it.
I could have helped at least 3 people if they had left their email. Why should I leave my email when they’re the one that wants something?
In that case, I’d say, “I have a code. Please leave me your email.” If they don’t respond, that’s on them. I agree with you, if they want something, they should put their email out there, not you. But also, before I just put my email out there I’d like to know if someone has something I want/could use first. Not here to argue…just think that there’s two sides to every coin. 🤗👍🏻
Hmmmm, I totally agree with Katie on this one. If you are asking for something, especially for a free item without a trade, you should definitely leave your email. No one is going to go through the extra steps by going back and forth with posts nor should the person offering the item be required to post their email address. Why would it be fair that the person requesting something gets to maintain privacy where the person offering would have to bend to the whim of the other person? Honestly, if I have an item to give away but the person does not have the courtesy to post their email with their request, I move on because my time is precious and it isn’t very kind to expect a person to waste their time to give someone else what they are looking for….
I said I agree with her but I understand both sides. When someone would like something you have, it is pretty simple to say, “Leave me your email.” If they don’t, fine then. If they do, you were going to send it anyway. You don’t have to put your email out there at all. And if you don’t want to go through that much back and forth, it’s totally fine. 🙂 I was just trying to say that I understand both sides because I’ve been on both sides. I’m not looking to start a debate, and this is my last word on the matter. Just thoughts. I appreciate hearing from other people. I think it’s good to hear what others have to say. Thanks for giving your opinion. I truly mean that. 😊👍🏻
