I just received this email and pictures (above and below) from a reader in Des Moines, Iowa…

I went to Toys R Us & Babies R Us last night and was excited to discover it was an extra 25% off all clearance clothes! Look at what I snagged: 3 t-shirts, a navy pair of pants, some brown shorts & a cute pair of sneakers.

Now check out what I paid:
Less than $10 total!!!!

If other stores are doing this too, it’d be a great day for people to stock up on baby clothes. Imagine what great baby clothes you could come up with if you wanted to get a $25 shower present for someone!

I’d love to hear if this sale is going on at most Toys R Us and Babies R Us locations! Let us know in the comments if your local store is participating. And if they are, I’d love to hear what kinds of bargains you’re able to score!

I went to Old Navy Last night and their clearance was an additional 50% off!

    • Sam

I love Old Navy, went there last weekend and that had that deal going on! Got a bunch of tops, all for under $30!

    • Norteasterner

I was there last Fri and it was that way too! GREAT deals for next summer! 🙂

  4. JERI LYNN SIMMONS

THE CHILDRENS PLACE HAD 50% OFF CLEARANCE TOO!

  7. Megan

Yeah!! Excited this deal is in Des Moines!! I was planning on stopping by today since today is my son’s 5th birthday and I have gifts stocked up for Christmas, but failed to get very many for his birthday. We have a $5 coupon from Kmart we are going to go spend too!

I really do spend WAY to much money on my children’s clothing 🙁 I can’t bring myself to buy non-name brand clothing … I need help 🙁

    • Ellie

I have the same problem. Unless it is Gap, Polo, or Abercrombie it is not on my older children. My infant only wears smocked or boutique. I coupon so I can buy nice clothes. 🙂 I have a serious problem!

      • Angela

I have 4 kids and they wear the brands you mentioned, along with Old Navy and Tommy, etc. 99.9 percent of their clothes are either from garage sales or resale/consignment, and many times, they are brand new with tags! I recently got my daughter Abercrombie jeans, like new, for a dollar, and hoodies for 50 cents! I can’t remember the last time I bought and paid retail prices for their clothes.

        • Kari

I’m glad I’m not the only one!!! I thought I was going to get attacked … LOL!!Glad to see other ppl have issues just like I do!!! I coupon at the Gap and stock up on 40% off coupons when they do them and resell the clothes the following year on eBay. But my 8 y/o son would not be caught in a buzz lightyear or tigger shirt (no offfense to anyone). He’s into the DC shoes and Hurley clothes which are expensive at surfboard shops 🙁

          • Erin

There are worse vices! 🙂 I’m kinda glad to see someone admit to “splurges” that they fund by couponing for everything else. I’m picky about my son’s clothes, too, although I’m willing to purchase at some things at Target if the quality’s there. But definitely no unstructured bottoms (only jeans, cords, or cargo pants/shorts) and no “character” tees. Wish grandma would get on board!

Everett, wa Toys R Us had that with a bunch of new markdowns and SUPER cheap summer mark downs. Babys R Us had same thing but their markdowns weren’t as big but still got some cute leggings for under dresses and things for cheap. Our Toys R Us also had and additional 25% of clearance toys as well, so some christmas shopping was done with the $5 off $25 and BOGO pet shop coupons.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

where did you find the toys r us $5 off $25 coupon? is there a link for this coupon? thanks!

  11. Jennifer

The BRU in Vernon Hills, IL has this clearance going on, I snagged several shirts for only 97c each along with other cheap items!

  12. Juli

I just got home from a trip to the Toys R Us in Florence, SC & they are having the same sale on it looked like ALL their clearance items. I didn’t get a chance to look around too much (little one was cranky & ready for nap time), but we did take advantage of the Little Tikes B1G1 free deal this week. Scored a ride on truck & a little train set for $37.79 total including tax. Figured it was a good deal for 2 birthday gifts for my little one’s 1st birthday!!!

  13. Aimee

Has anyone come across any good deals with the gift card promotion they are running with diapers and stuff? I have all the coupons from the military booklet for the buy one thing get another free like bounty paper towels, pampers wipes, pampers diapers?

    • Angela

The b1g1 coupons I had could only be used at the commissary.

  14. Sarah

Just an FYI the sale should end on the 14th, this Thursday for the clearance clothes. The toys additional 25% should stay on sale till the 17th.

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

old navy is doing additional 50% off infant/toddler clothes clearance too! i got almost $100 worth of stuff for only $14.13….we got 12 items of clothing!! and an addinitional 40% all other clearance

  16. Hollie

It’s funny that Collin posted this today because this is what I posted yesterday on the toys r us deal she had listed.

I was at toys r us this weekend and got lots of great clearance deals. They had signs saying that you get an extra 25% off for certain clearance items. I was able to get my daughter a really cute very hungry caterpillar bike helmet for $10.90 and a leapster game for $5 after a coupon I had from the lunch box I bought over the summer. I was also able to get her a winter coat that was marked $39.99 for $19.98 after coupons. I think this was the first time in a long time that they let me use all my coupons and I didn’t have to fight anybody to get a good deal. Most of the time I stay away from Toys R Us because it’s always a pain just to shop.

  17. mary biddy

I got a coupon for 30% off all clothing starting tomorow

    • Rachel

Just got the same coupon and read the fine print…doesn’t look like it excludes clearance items…yeah!!

      • msrossdaboss

I was going to post this coupon too. It was emailed to me today. Just before I was about to run out the door. It save me a whole trip of returning and repurshasing tomorrow. Will go first thing in the a.m.

Naples, FL Toys R Us has this same promo. Lots of clothes and toys on clearance…all an extra 25% off!

  20. Tonya

I was at Toys R Us yesterday (Wednesday) in Chattanooga TN and they are also running the 25% off clearance items. They also had clearanced alot of wintery type clothes too. I did not get any though since my grandson already has enough. However, I was there taking advantage of the Little Tikes promotion. Buy one over 24.99 and get one up to 24.99 free. I got the Little Tikes basketball goal (34.99) and the Little Tikes train set (24.99) plus two packages of Weebles for $41. I had a coupon for B1G1 for the Weebles. I also signed up for the rewards card that I did not know anything about since I rarely go into Toys R. Us.

  21. Rachel

Yes, I got this deal in Dayton, Ohio, too. I got a skirt for less than $1.50, and 5 or 6 pairs of sandals for under $2 each.
