For a little more perspective, Hip Sidekick, Emily was so invested in these smart locks, she purchased one at full price ($199) last year and still loves it!
These smart locks are compatible with Alexa HomeKit and require a WiFi connection. Once the lock is installed (in as little as 5 minutes) you can lock and unlock your door, have keyless entry, and track who goes in and out of your home, from anywhere. Even set it to unlock automatically when you’re within a certain distance and keep your hands completely free. You don’t even need to take out your phone!

I very much love mine. I think I got it last year for like $199 which was full-priced at the time. The reason I went with this one was that it was HomeKit enabled (Apple is way more strict with the brands they partner with to ensure that they have the best connectivity and security settings) though I do run everything through Alexa at my house.
I did the install myself which was incredibly easy — I think it honestly took all of 5 minutes. And the function of it is awesome! As I’m walking out the door, I just say “Alexa, lock the front door”, close the door, and within 5 seconds, the deadbolt is latched and it makes a chime sound so I know it’s secure. If it doesn’t latch (say if I don’t close the door all the way), it’ll ping my phone letting me know the door didn’t properly lock. With that, I can lock/unlock the door from my phone, but I rarely even open the app because I have it set up to auto-unlock when I’m within 200 ft of my house.
Plus, you can add users to it, so I can grant access to people coming and going (whether temporary or permanent), and modify/revoke access whenever I want. Plus, I can get notifications of who is locking/unlocking the door with their access.
I’ve never had any network connectivity issues with it, though I don’t have a huge house. I have the most basic Wifi plan and my internet router is on the opposite side of the house, but it’s always connected to it.
The battery life is a little meh, as I had to change them after 6 months. I don’t know if the original batteries they gave me were already a little drained, because I thought they were supposed to last a year, but if that’s the biggest issue I have with the lock, then it’s still a fantastic purchase to me, especially at this price!
