If the Biden administration would stop sending it to the southern border and reopen the manufacturing facility they shut down, it wouldn’t be so difficult to find for Americans! This is what happens when elected officials put you last. Hoping everyone who needs it finds some. You can also call your local WIC office to see if there are any newly added approved locations other than the typical retailers that are likely out of stock right now.

Hallie, I SO SO SO agree with you. My daughter-in-law is experiencing issues for my new grand daughter. Prayers to all the parents in need.

Breast milk. I’m a breastfeeding mother and I know I would pump extra if I knew someone with a baby who needed it. Have your daughter ask her breastfeeding friends for help. She can also try relactating herself as long as she doesn’t have a medical condition or medication that would make it impossible or dangerous for baby. And just to be clear, because sadly that is the world we live in, I am not making any judgements about your daughter formula feeding. I’m just offering solutions to make sure babies aren’t going hungry. Breast milk or formula, I hope your gandbaby has a full belly and healthy life. 🙂https://www.llli.org/breastfeeding-info/relactation/

Please stop making this political. Biden it isn’t sending any formula to the Southern border. Nido is for toddlers to use as a supplement not for babies so it’s useless for everyone that needs it right now for infants. And as far as the Michigan factory opening it’s up to the fda because they had bacteria growing that I killed 2 babies.

Thank you so much Isis. It’s ridiculous how a site aimed at helping people find good deals becomes political!

    • christen

This is about a factory shut down and recall. Not political in any way. Let’s leave politics out of Hip2Save please and get back to helping each other save money 🙂

Don’t feel bad for being ‘political’. What you say is true at least concerning the Ursula Migrant Processing Center in McAllen, Texas. They have pallets full. This is what folks need to know so they can be informed voters.

      • ToriSC

Huh. You couldn’t happen to be wrong could you? I mean all of the pictures being posted from the supposed center at issue say Nido 1+. A simple internet search (instead of being guilible) would show that all of that supposed “baby” formula is meant only for 1 to 3 year olds…but why tell the truth when it’s so much easier to lie and stir the pot.

        • Shelley P

Maybe you couldn’t be more wrong! Jen Psaki just defended having stock piles of baby formula at the border because it’s required by law under Flores Statement Settlement. It’s required by law and the right thing to do Jen said Friday in a briefing.

Hallie, we used to get infant formula from Canada, but guess which administration curtailed that? (Rhymes with “dump.”)

      • Shelley P

Because producing our goods in America and not relying on other countries is a bad thing?!! LOL And if this policy was so bad then why didn’t Biden reverse it already?!! He reversed so many other policies. Oh and your rhyming is very mature!

I have noticed Aldi seems to always have formula, don’t know if they helps anyone 🤷🏻‍♀️. I’m in Ga and always see it at my stores.

Thanks for sharing! Good to know where you’ve been seeing it available!

Formula feeding mom’s please try reaching out to breastfeeding mom’s you know for help. Breastfeeding is an on demand thing. They can feed their babies and then pump what is left. Within a day they will be making lots of extra milk that they could share. It is best if you do this before you are completely out and your baby is hungry. You can just keep a little back up stock pile in your freezer in case you need it. I would recommend you buy the correct storage bottles and lids as well as sanitizing supplies for her though. If you don’t have a medical condition that would prevent it, you can also try relactating too. I hope this situation resolved itself soon! https://www.llli.org/breastfeeding-info/relactation/

    • Marinova

I will add to this (as someone who has donated milk several times) that for women concerned about their baby rejecting the breast milk due to the difference in taste, generally the transition is made by mixing the breast milk with formula gradually until they are used to it. You could use this strategy to “stretch” the formula or to switch completely.

    • Marinova

One more thing! 🤪 I noticed the link provided did not mention medications. If you are looking to relactate it is best to call your doctor. There are prescription medications that make relactation much much easier and work way better than herbal over the counter stuff like fenugreek.

  5. ToriSC

No, the problem is 1 manufacturing facility makes 40% of the U.S. supply. Shutdown that facility and you have an instant shortage. Simple mathematics. But then again, your point was never to tell the truth in the first place. Just to be political and spread misinformation. You may now return to your Faux news channel.

Plenty of formula at Costco in Rancho Cordova, CA today! I rushed over there after I saw this article.

  7. Christine

Plenty of formula in stock at Whole Foods/Albertson’s/Smith’s and other grocery stores here in Las Vegas, NV.

  8. Audrey Dietrich

Ordered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond when this was first posted. The order showed “processing” and today I got an email that my order had been cancelled. So frustrating!
