Disney Movie Insiders Program Closing Soon (Redeem Your Rewards Now!)
Disney Movie Insiders has been an awesome rewards program that allows Disney enthusiasts to earn rewards just for being a fan, and it was totally free to join. Plus, they often released codes to earn FREE points, meaning many of us scored lots of free gift cards, memorabilia, DVDs, and more over the years.
Many readers have mentioned the missing monthly email newsletter points, and fewer Disney Movie Insiders codes in general, which sparked questions on the program’s future. And on August 30th, Disney made the announcement that we sort of expected – Disney Movie Insiders will officially sunset on December 4th.
The last day to earn points is September 6th, and the last day to redeem will be December 3rd. I’m already seeing a very limited number of gift cards and other items left – so be sure to redeem your points soon.

I’ve tried all month to get the newsletter 5 points and keep getting an error message; shouldn’t it be available by now? (May 21st) Also I didn’t get my birthday email/points and heard a rumor they were discontinuing that now that it’s my birthday month!
I talked to someone at Disney and they confirmed they have cancelled all free loyalty points (ie the monthly newsletter, the Birthday points (just in time for MY birthday so I missed out double this month!) They seemed to think no one would notice. How about rallying your followers to let them know we NOTICED and are disappointed that our loyalty means so little! The toll free number to let them know is 855-951-0775…

It had to happen sooner or later. There hasn’t been any points for past couple of weeks. I don’t know why they call it Winsday. I have lost respect for Disney, not just because of the points issue, but other things as well. I only have a little less than 400 points so I’ll just let them go. I figured this was coming since Budweiser stopped their reward points and Kelloggs did away with their Reading-Feeding program for kids. It’s the end of an era. 😢
It seems loyalty means nothing to Disney Corp….bet Walt is rolling over in his grave! I am going to see if I can get something for my points left and stop going to the Disney Insiders’ web site altogether. Doesn’t feel like an Insider anymore so down with Disney.

I’m not a happy camper. Having saved for years I have more than 13,000 points and there are no truly desirable awards in my opinion. I had plans to get movie tickets and gift cards, both are gone. I’d order DVDs but my grandkids are too old for most of them and besides streaming services have EVERYTHING out there to watch. I may just get things I can donate to my church’s Mission for folks to use as Christmas gifts.
The website does say “Over the next weeks we will continue to add more rewards to the rewards catalog.”
