I have gotten them for my now 14 and 15-year-olds for at least 6-7 years. They STILL look forward to them and it gets them ready a little quicker in the mornings as they normally open for the day before school. I personally think they are totally worth it. Each year is a little different.
The elf brings one for my son every year. He absolutely loves it and it’s something fun and creative to do every day.
You get to build a little something each day. Sometimes it’s just a Minifigure, but my kids have always thought it’s fun!

If you can afford it, I think the Play mobile Advent calendars are better. The quality is superior. My girls love to play with the sets of figurines from previous years.
