This has been a game-changer for us! We have two dogs who seriously drink an entire bowl of water at a time, and then drool half of it all over our kitchen floor. We wanted to give them an outdoor option (1) since it’s hot here in Texas, and (2) on the off chance they wouldn’t gulp so much inside. Since we’ve installed this (a week ago), I’ve only had to mop up water inside once!

My dogs have used these for several years now. Even my dumb dogs can figure it out. As one reviewer said, you can try just a bit of peanut butter to get them started on it. I’ve had one for so many years now though, that any new dogs I get learn from watching the older dogs use it. Also if you have hard water it’s best to swap it every year. Works really well and I didn’t have to remove the restriction. Normal house water pressure should be enough. I would recommend buying 2 units at a time – that way you’ve got a backup always available. I would also recommend using some Teflon tape on the threads of the bib before you screw the unit on! Helps to give a better seal and prevents leaks!
