Melissa & Doug make some of the best children’s products out there, and this toy chest is no exception. The hinges aren’t flimsy, the chest itself is easy to put together and VERY durable. It fits so many toys!!! We couldn’t believe it. We switched all the toys over from a big plastic container to this chest and we have room to spare for more toys. There’s a space in the front of the chest for little hands to be able to open and close the chest with ease and without the worry of smashing fingers. Your kid wants to sit on this? No problem; this thing doesn’t budge, doesn’t bend. If you’re looking for a chest, your search ends here.
Super easy to put together and most of all STURDY! After I had already bought it I saw some mentioning the wood being flimsy. The bottom piece is a bit thin and not as thick as the other wood pieces but I just put all my kids’ (two child’s worth) toys inside and it’s doing just fine. They also climbed inside this thing while I was trying to build and the bottom didn’t break.
