Want to make your Pop-Tarts even more decadent?😋
Believe it or not, putting butter on Pop-Tarts is the new trend that people can’t stop talking about. What was once the secret ingredient for a few in-the-know folks has become somewhat of a phenomenon, and Pop-Tarts is encouraging people to try out this weird breakfast hack. They’ve even come out with a Pop-Tarts x Butter Kit in collaboration with Banner Butter, a craft butter producer based in Atlanta. Each Pop-Tarts x Butter Kit includes exclusive butter blends from Banner Butter’s head churner which were hand-selected to pair perfectly with each flavor of toaster pastry. Each kit includes 3 Pop-Tarts flavors (Frosted Strawberry, Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and Frosted Chocolate Fudge) plus 6 of Banner Butter’s blends including Honey Habanero, Sea Salt, Strawberry, Chocolate, Cinnamon with Cardamom & Ginger, and Balsamic Fig with Caramelized Onion flavors. The kits will also include a Pop-Tarts x Butter 101 Guide containing pairing information, flavor guides, and plenty of inspiration for buttering your Pop-Tarts. To purchase these kits, you’ll need to be fast! Today, November 16th, you can buy a kit exclusively online at Banner Butter’s website. Each box will be a spendy $25, but if you want to try these out for yourself, it’s best to scoop them up quickly as supplies are limited and Pop-Tarts x Butter fans will surely be on the lookout! The good news is that even if you miss out on a Pop-Tarts x Butter box, you can always join in on the trend by adding a dollop of butter onto your Pop-Tarts the old-fashioned way. 😉
Love sweet breakfasts? Make these homemade Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls!
YEP!!! (Why, you ask??? Because pop tarts don’t have enough calories on their own!!! LOL!)
They use to have reduced fat cinnamon and strawberry but I can’t find those anymore.
Only way to eat them! Especially the Cinnamon Sugar one….mmmmm….I poke holes in it after it comes out of the toaster and let the butter seep in. So good.
Although, I should add, we’ve been doing this since we were kids (and I’m in my early 40s) and used just regular butter. I don’t know if I’d like a flavored butter on top of a poptart.
That does sound yummy!
A new “trend”? I’m 63 and have been putting butter on my BSC pop-tarts for over 50 years. The trick is to butter them frosted side down so the butter seeps into the back. Then I cut them into 3 strips of buttery pop tart goodness. Ugggh, now I’m hungry!
Yes! We have always toasted ours on broil in the oven and added butter. They are fantastic. Lol
“It’s so freaking good. If you’ve never put butter on a pop tart I really think you should!” But seriously, after that song came out and I tried it on the brown sugar ones, I’ll never eat one without it!
Hahaha! I was sad the post didn’t reference this song! The same thing popped into my head!
when i met my husband as a teenager, he put butter on his brown sugar pop tarts and I was disgusted. I’ve still never tried it…but I also prefer my pop tarts cold…maybe i’m the gross one
I only eat them cold too!
I also only eat mine cold. I think it’s gross when mine heats them up. lol
The above Picture shows the butter on TOP on the icing…we always turned it over when HOT and put the butter on the backside so that it would seeeeeeeeep into the crust on the back. YUMMMMMMMMO
Ooof 🤤 sounds amazing
I didn’t know people ate them without butter 🤷♀️. I thought it was the norm and Im almost 60!
My husband had never heard of anyone eating them with butter. I’ve done it since I was a kid. I cut them the same way my grandparents did for me when I was a kid (I’m 36 now ❤).
I’ve eaten pop tarts in copious amounts for over 35 years and never heard of such a thing! Sounds crazy to me…but of course I’ll try it!
This makes me think of Jessica Simpson, when she was pregnant & was getting dogged for gaining a bunch of weight, she named this as something she ate.
Definitely on the back side when it comes out of the toaster a little browned on the edges and definitely Kerry Gold salted butter 🙂
The website showed they were out of stock before 12 ET.
DARN! Maybe check back and subscribe to emails so that they will alert you when they are available!
Link is not working
I couldn’t get it on my desk top – never would refresh from out of stock- but it worked on my phone.
I do find the link to work, however it seems you can now just sign up for them to alert you when available. Hope this helps!
Hello again! We have updated with a new link if you’d like to try again!
I had signed up for the reminder and got it 25 minutes before they were supposed to go on sale. Already sold out. I kept refreshing until 5 past noon just to be sure that it wasn’t just a “sold out because they weren’t on sale yet” but it definitely looks like they opened the sales early and sold out immediately. Bummer.
Thanks for the feedback!
And I just went into my email and see they had sent another email AFTER noon telling me they’d be available at noon. They clearly didn’t have their **** together for this promotion.
They are still available. I Just ordered another using my husband’s info to use as a white elephant gift.

You are welcome
This just worked for me after trying through the website for forever. It’s 1:30 pm now! Thank You!
You’re welcome, Kimi!
My husband used to always put butter on his pop tarts. I just thought he was crazy :D.
Thought this was an April fools joke! Seriously I’ve never heard of this before (I’m 60 yrs old) but now they are being marketed as a specialty item that sells out in moments? SMH Hey I’m not knocking the concept or taste just the craze over it.
