Walgreens cash and instore rewards (formerly register rewards) are completely different systems and work very differently. If you go to the bottom of the Walgreens web page you will find a link to the help center. Really read through the questions and answers and the coupon policy to get a firm understanding to be really comfortable at Walgreens couponing.
Im really confused if you cant get soap for 1.99 unless you order on line but you cant get register rewards unless you buy in store? How does that deal work

Walgreens cash is a completely digital system and because it is digital can be earned instore, online order for instore pickup, ship to store or ship to home. It is strictly a Walgreens system. Instore rewards ( formerly Register Rewards) are printed at the store cash register and are triggered by buying the right items in the right quantity. Some may be store coupons and some may be manufacturers coupons overseen by the Catalina marketing company. Go to the Walgreens help center for more info.
Thanks hip2save for sharing fabulous deals. I just ordered online and am excited with my savings! I order 2 colgate toothpastes, 4 softsoap bodywashes and 4 softsoap hand soaps. I used the code NEWYOU for the 10% savings. I had a coupon for spend $20, earn $5 walgreens cash. I clipped the $4 colgate coupon, the $1 softsoap coupon and the $.75 softsoap coupon. My total after tax was $24.41. I didn’t redeem any walgreens cash. I will earn $4 from the colgate, $5 twice from the bodywash, $4 from the handsoap, and $5 for my purchase of over $20. I will earn $23 of walgreens cash once I pick up my order! All of this for just over $1!!! THANKS so much Hip2save!

Follow these steps:
I use the app but should work fine on the website as well with very slightly different steps.
1. Make sure that you are logged in.
2. Find the Walgreens ad for this week and click on it
3. In the drop down search bar type in “Colgate”
4. You should see something like “$3.99 Colgate earn $4 reward” and below that the coupon to clip plus LEARN MORE. Click on LEARN MORE. scroll through the list and double check that each variety says that you earn the rewards usually midway down.
4. Any problems with getting the reward you tell customer service that you used the ad of such and such date and the app to pick varieties that generate the reward.
It will work! Happy shopping!
I gave up doing the Register Rewards, you have to spend it within 2 weeks and I don’t shop there that often.
I still come up with .28 cents each, not .17 each?
