4 Favorite Barefoot Dreams Alternative Finds (+ They’re Perfect for Gifting!)

Check out these Barefoot Dreams alternatives and lookalikes we’re lovin’!
Oh, how we love saving money with these Barefoot Dreams inspired alternatives!
From plush throws and baby blankets to cozy cardigans and robes, Barefoot Dreams has set the bar for creating some of the softest products and we’ve fallen in love with them over the years.
However, along with their superior quality comes a hefty $100-ish price tag that’s quite a bit more than the typical blanket enthusiast and sweater lover is used to. I mean, with that budget, you could take home 3 or 4 items from a cheaper competitor brand!
Enter the Barefoot Dreams alternatives that are much kinder to your wallet and are rumored to be just as nice as the name brand.
Here are 4 Barefoot Dreams inspired looks that won’t break the bank:
1. Pottery Barn Cozy Pom Pom Sherpa Throw
Pottery Barn Cozy Pom Pom Sherpa Throw $24.99 – $49 on clearance (regularly $49)
While the name-brand blanket has a whopping $150+ price tag, the Barefoot Dreams inspired blanket from Pottery Barn costs just $24.99 on sale. It regularly retails for $49 and frequently goes on sale for less.
The blankets are rumored to feel exactly the same as they’re both 100% polyester, but the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Throw is just a few inches longer. For less than half the price and with the addition of the adorable pom-poms on the trim, the clear winner here is the budget-friendly alternative!
2. Stars Above Cozy Robe
Stars Above Cozy Robe $29.99
Stars Above Cozy Chenille Robe $34.99
If I’m spending $99 on a robe, it had better come with magical fairy wings or something. On the contrary, the Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Unisex Robe is pretty basic and isn’t much different than the $30 Target version.
The robes are almost identical in length, but the budget-friendly Target robe is a bit shorter than the CozyChic robe. I honestly like the shorter length better! Aside from that, they’re both 100% polyester, have the same side pocket detailing, and even come in the same gray and white colors.
Stars Above Cozy Chenille Robe is another great lookalike and is longer in length, but this one sells out fast so if you see it in stock, you better grab it quick!
3. Cozy-Knit Open-Front Cardigan Sweater
Old Navy Cozy-Knit Open-Front Cardigan $34.97+
It really is an essential sweater that every gal needs in her closet but is the $34-$54 Old Navy version just as nice as its pricier competitor? I’d say so, and according to the reviews, those who have bought it are loving their cozy warm sweater.
The materials of the two sweaters are not exactly the same as Old Navy’s Cozy-Knit Open-Front Cardigan is made of 60% Acrylic, 38% Nylon, & 2% Spandex while the $119 Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Lite Circle Cardigan is made of 75% Nylon & 25% Rayon.
With such a reasonable price tag, you can even get a couple of different colors when you opt for the Old Navy version of this cozy sweater!
As another option, this Max & Mia The Essential Travel Cardigan is a really awesome alternative to the Barefoot Dreams cardigan. However, this one goes out of stock a lot, so definitely keep checking back to see if your size/color is available.
4. Urban Outfitters Stargazer Knit Throw
Urban Outfitters Stargazer Knit Throw $49
Automatic 50% off at checkout!
Final cost just $24.50
The Stargazer throw is yet another super affordable lookalike for the Barefoot Dream’s CozyChic Throw and resembles the original even more than the Pottery Barn blanket. Our team loves the affordable Urban Outfitters copycat, too!
Each throw is 100% polyester and machine washable, but the CozyChic throw is a bit larger measuring 54″ x 72″, while the blanket from Urban Outfitters, measures 50″ x 60″—not a huge difference and well worth the substantially lower price of $49 vs. $147.
After being gifted a Barefoot Dreams Throw Blanket, I learned that Urban Outfitters makes one that looks very similar and at a fraction of the cost of the popular brand. Whaaat?! Best. News. Ever.
I couldn’t believe how much cheaper the Urban Outfitters blanket was compared to the original version, so I even did some digging and read up on the materials of each one, and I was shocked to learn that they really are almost exactly the same! – Collin
Quality doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
Why spend double or triple the money on name-brand items when you can get the same look and level of quality with a less popular brand? Next time you’re about to make a big brand purchase, check for a highly-rated lookalike that could save you some cash! You might get lucky and find a less expensive version as good as a Barefoot Dreams original!
