We gave this to our 2-year-old toddler, who really enjoys playing with the magnetic train cars. It teaches him physical dexterity to stay on the tracks. It’s still a bit early for him to understand the extra pieces for role-playing, but he will grow into them.
My son loves these wooden trains and this is great because it’s not overwhelming and we can take it with us. We started with the farm one and highly recommend this toy, now we can’t wait to get the other sets for him.
I bought this for my 3-year-old to play with on the plane while traveling 6.5 hours. Although, it is a bit heavy for him to carry. It did the job! He was entertaining himself for long periods of time. Played with it on his lap folded and open at times. Great distraction and lots of fun for him! I would recommend it. Nice and sturdy, not cheaply made.
