Before I go on & on about how much I personally LOVE this shacket (which I will be doing) I had to mention the price. Although it’s not on sale, I wanted to point out what an amazing deal it is even at full cost!
If you were to quickly search ‘plaid shacket’ in Google the FIRST highlighted product retails for $84.99, followed by $50, and finally $29.99. Walmart’s Nine.Eight Shacket beats allllllll of those prices and for quality, I can’t believe myself!
Needless to say, if I had to choose one item from my Walmart fall outfit, hands down it would be the Nine.Eight Shacket!
Remember that Pinterest board I mentioned? Mine has been overflowing with various shackets since late last summer and while I had been pining for one all through fall of last year, I just couldn’t pull the trigger on the perfect one. It had to be reasonably priced ✅, a versatile/ neutral color that I could wear with everything ✅, and a true piece of ‘outerwear’ not a flimsy, thin, button-down look alike ✅.
And I am so happy to say it surpassed all my expectations! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
My #1 reason: it’s SO VERSATILE! I already tested it out with 5+ outfits to ensure that I would truly be able to wear this shacket with anything, at any point during the fall, and what I came up with is one casual look, one for warmer fall weather, one semi-professional, one cutesy, and one sporty! 😍 I mean what other fall staple piece can do that?
So if you’re looking NOT to spend a ton reconfiguring your entire closet, but still want to strut in some cozy fall styles, I truly believe you can’t go wrong with this shacket!
IMPORTANT STYLE TIP: I sized up! I normally wear an XS or S, but knowing that I wanted an oversized, slouchy look for more versatility, I went with a medium and I am SO HAPPY I did! (Want a little more slouch? I’d even be happy sizing up to a large- I’m 5’5″ for height reference 😉)
Okay… so I might have to mention TWO must-haves 😉 because what is fall without a go-to pair of boots??
We wouldn’t be doing our Walmart fall fashion service if we didn’t recommend a top-quality pair of fall boots to ya! In fact, these Time & Tru Lug Boots caught both my attention and my team member Sara.
They are the perfect weight, ultra comfortable, and the style *secretly* makes me feel like a bad… well, let’s just say edgy! 😆 They’re not high-heeled by any means, but they’re also not super low or flat (I don’t personally like flat boots). I feel like you could get a little rugged or dirty pumpkin picking in these boots, but also strut them out on the town!

I honestly cannot believe I love my entire outfit from Walmart! I tried picked staples pieces that can be mixed and matched a bunch of ways and I’m so happy with everything! The corduroy oversized shirt is super cute and not to heavy for warmer fall days and it even looks super cute tied on my waist for a more casual look. If Sara could buy only one thing from her fall outfit from Walmart, it would definitely be the Love & Sports Crop Top!
If I had to pick an absolute favorite from my haul it would hands down be the black ribbed crop top! It’s AMAZING quality, very supportive, and there’s even a built-in bra with removable pads. I love it so much I’ll totally be scooping up a few of these!
And for only $9 (regularly $18)- so would I!
Let’s face it–– pumpkin spice lattes aside, fall is no doubt that far too short transition period from warm summer weather to the bitter winter cold, and no one wants to spend a ton of money on dressing for the ‘in-between’. 😪
BUT, if you Walmart, you know that thanks to their always-affordable prices with designer-like quality, you can easily scoop up one or two signature pieces to carry you through the entire fall season, without breaking the bank (I say as I add another pair of boots to my cart! 😆).
