Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 6 tablespoons butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Grease a 10 inch cast iron skillet or a similarly sized cake pan with a little additional butter. In a large mixing bowl, mix together butter, egg, vanilla, and both sugars.

Stir in salt, flour, and baking soda. Lastly, mix in chocolate chips.

Spread into skillet evenly. Bake at 350 degrees for about 18-20 minutes until golden brown.

Let sit about 5 minutes. Serve while still warm with vanilla ice cream if desired. Makes about 8 slices.
