Frozen Chocolate-Dipped Peanut Butter Banana Bites
yield: 4 SERVINGS
prep time: 15 MINUTES
total time: 15 MINUTES
These easy to make banana bites hit the spot when you're craving a chocolatey snack or dessert!
Ingredients
- 2-3 bananas, sliced
- 1/3 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
1
To prevent your bananas from browning, after you slice them, toss them with a teaspoon or two of citrus juice (lemon, lime, orange, or even pineapple works) or use Fruit-Fresh from Ball. Next, spread a small amount of peanut butter between two slices of bananas and continue doing this on all of them, making little banana sandwiches.
2
Place all of them on a baking sheet that has been covered in parchment paper. Freeze for about an hour. This makes it easier to dip in chocolate.
3
Melt chocolate chips in the microwave, in 15-second increments, taking the bowl of chocolate out to stir each time until melted. Add a tiny splash of coconut oil if chocolate clumps to smooth it out.
4
Dip one side of each banana bite in chocolate and place back on the parchment paper.
5
Place baking sheet in the freezer until banana bites are completely frozen, and then enjoy!
6
Store any leftovers in a covered container in the freezer.
