Have Some Frugal Fun in the Sun with These Dollar Tree Pool Products and Hacks
It’s pool toys galore!
How often are you replacing pool toys and supplies because they get destroyed by weather wear or kids playing just a little too rough?
Head to Dollar Tree for a HUGE assortment of summer fun – all for just a buck! Check out our latest finds on pool toy essentials, along with some fun pool noodle hacks!
If you don’t have a beach ball in your pool, do you even have a pool? Kidding! But really, at only a buck you can stock up for tons of inflatable fun.
It’s good to know that Dollar Tree carries these, even if you just keep some on hand as a backup pair if you lose or break your favorite goggles. They have both adult and kid sizes with options that cover your nose as well!
How fun are these seahorse shapes! The kiddos will have some pool time fun by letting these bright seahorses sink to the bottom and retrieving as many as they can in one shot.
H2O blasters water gun
These blasters are full of summer fun with or without a pool! For the latter, simply fill a large bucket with water to reload the blaster by siphoning up water from the tip. They can shoot water up to 30 feet!
Hip Tip: Have a water balloon war using a set of water balloons from Dollar Tree which comes with a hose attachment to make filling a breeze!
Novelty pool floats
What kid wouldn’t want to sit in a float that looks like pizza!? In addition to the standard pool floats Dollar Tree carries in their seasonal selection, I was able to find this fun pizza ring over in the toys section.
Another toy section find! While technically it’s a butterfly net, you could totally use this as a pool scoop to retrieve items in a pinch! That said, you may want to reinforce the netted scoop to the handle with some duck tape in case it comes loose from getting wet.
Plastic pencil pouches
These plastic pencil pouches are great for transporting wet swim suits. Kids can change at the pool, tuck their wet suits inside and zip them up!
So. Many. Noodles. You can obviously use them as intended (as a floating pool toy), but check out these awesome DIYs you can make with them, too!
Pool Noodle Tennis Rackets
Using a pool noodle, scissors, some duct tape, and a mesh bag, you can create pool noodle tennis rackets by following along with this simple DIY by In The Know Mom. Use them to knock around soaker splash balls or water balloons!
Pool Noodle Luminaries
How cute are these floating candles by Create Craft Love! By cutting noodles into chunks, wrapping some plastic wrap around the bottom of a battery-operated tealight candle (also available at Dollar Tree), and wedging the candle into the noodle opening, you’ve got the most adorable floating luminaries to light up your pool at night!
Pool Noodle Sprinkler
Such an easy and fun DIY! Just poke holes in the pool noodle, cover one end with duct tape, and then insert the hose in the opposite end. Then turn on the water and enjoy!
You could even hang the sprinkler over a tree limb so that the water shoots out horizontally. Just make sure to secure the noodle with some duct tape around the inserted end so it doesn’t slip off.
Pool Noodle Floating Cooler
This DIY from our very own Lina will make your pool party the coolest around — literally! This floating cooler made from Dollar Tree items keeps your favorite drinks chilled and within reach. It’s perfect for your next summer party and will only set you back a few bucks!
