Small investment. Big protection.

Having water problems is just about every homeowner’s worst nightmare. More often than not, they happen unexpectedly, too. 😞 When my hubby and I recently dealt with a water problem and spent thousands on repairs, we learned a little too late about an innovative water alarm that could have saved us a lot of headaches.

If you’re someone who worries about water leaks, knows just how devasting they can be, or simply wants to protect their home against potential issues down the road, I’m sharing an under $12 device that will give you peace of mind & will more than pay for itself if you ever do have water problems in the future.

It’s called The Watchdog Water Sensor Alarm – JUST $11.98 on Amazon! 😱

To give you a little backstory, our refrigerator water hose had a pinhole-sized leak that was slowly collecting water at the back of our refrigerator. Unfortunately, we had no idea until it collected so much water it puddled and broke through the basement ceiling big time. 🤦‍♀️ Like I said, WORST NIGHTMARE EVER! 😩

The water leak ended up costing us thousands of dollars from needing to replace hardwood floors in our kitchen to fixing everything that was ruined in the basement.

Hindsight is 20/20. Be proactive for your home & your wallet.

We realized after talking to a few neighbors it’s pretty common for most people to have no idea about water problems until it’s too late. That’s why I have to tell everyone about this product and to help save you from any unexpected & major home repairs down the road!

After learning about this very affordable water sensor alarm, it was a no-brainer that we needed it!

We put ours behind the fridge (for obvious reasons), but it’s extremely versatile and can be placed everywhere in your home where there’s potential to have a water leak (water heater, bathroom sinks, etc). It detects up to 1/32″ of water and comes with a 6 ft. wire so it can be extended into a sump pit or even mounted on a wall. Need more wire? No problem, because it also accommodates the addition of more than 100 ft. of wire if needed!

All you need to do is add a 9V battery and place it somewhere so it’s standing up. 🙌

Best of all, if you’re not home, the water sensor alarm will sound at 110 dB for up to 3 days! Having this inexpensive product is a HUGE peace of mind for us moving forward and something I know every single homeowner needs to have!

I even took a video for ya so you can see how it works when it comes into contact with even just a tiny bit of water. 🙌

Here’s what other homeowners are saying about their Watchdog Water Alarm:

box sitting between blue appliances in basement

“This thing can save you literally thousands of dollars associated with the repair of water damage. I have installed one under every sink, dishwasher, behind every toilet, washing machine, and refrigerator (ice maker water supply). Essentially, any place where there is a water supply to a faucet or appliance. Most water damage is not the result of a catastrophic failure (pipe or water supply line break, etc.) but a small leak in the appliance or drain that goes unnoticed for an extended period of time.

Luckily, this water sensor alarm is really sensitive; the smallest amount of moisture will trigger the alarm and it is loud. The detachable sensor makes it possible to install in a normally hard to access area, for example, underneath a dishwasher and have the alarm unit in the sink cabinet. A good quality battery is supposed to last 5 years but I plan to test the unit and inspect the battery yearly.” – Stephen ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“This little gadget saved me from incurring major property damage. I came home to a shrieking alarm only to find a pool of water under my hot water tank. I can’t recommend this water sensor alarm enough. It is most certainly money well spent many times over!” – Keith ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

That’s awesome. I love the video where the dogs get up and leave.

Oh, that is kinda funny when the dogs leave. They’re like, we want no part of this!

Unfortunately, I had no idea this existed until my basement flooded. Then I learned about it and immediately bought one. I am so glad you are sharing this to hopefully save others.

We have a similar one but a lot more expensive, that sends an aren’t into our phone. We had water damage after two different dishwashers decided to leak all over or kitchen floors… TWICE! We had to replace the floors the first time and get a new dishwasher and it leaked all the way into out finished basement ceiling. Then 4 years later the same thing. The second time it messed up our wood floors but not as bad as the first time to we kept them. This is a must by your dishwasher!!!

Where did you place it by your dishwasher. We also had ours leak a few years back and messed up some of the kitchen floor.

The leak was coming from the front left side. Ironically both times! So there is a hose there that seams to be prone to leakage. And both dishwashers were kitchenaid so NOT CHEAP ones! So we took the bottom front cover thing (the cover that goes from the bottom of the dishwasher to the floor, like a black rubber plate) and placed the monitor where we had the faulty hose and put the cover back on. Now we don’t have the one advertised here. We purchased one (also a Hip2Save deal) that is more flat. It was more expensive but it sends any warnings to our phones.

We have this!!! It’s loud!!! We got this after we had water in the basement and lost a lot of things. It’s nice to have and the price is a bonus, we had gotten ours at Lowe’s.

We also have one, and ours came in handy last week. We came home, and heard it going off, thankfully. We had a leak in our basement, and wouldn’t have found out possibly for days were it not for that alarm. We caught it before there was too much damage thankfully. It works really well, and it is very loud.

Wow, so glad you caught it early! Thanks for sharing!

Does this run on batteries or is it something that has to be plugged into a power outlet?
