1. Mango Mule Mocktail

A moscow mule mocktail flavored with mango

Moscow mules are my personal favorite of mine for cocktails, so naturally coming up with a fun mocktail version is essential! This fruity version will give tropical vibes with a grownup taste of spicy ginger beer.

Ingredients:

pouring a mocktail Moscow mule

Directions:

  • Add the cucumber to the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Use a drink muddler or the handle of a spoon to smash down the cucumber.
  • Add the mango nectar and the lime juice, close the lid and give it a good shake.
  • Add ice to a copper mug, and pour the mocktail mixture over the ice.
  • Pour the ginger beer and sparkling water over the drink and garnish with lime.

2. Guava Mint Mojito

Mint mojitos are a classic cocktail and are easy to make without alcohol! This version is super fresh and minty tasting. I have made this using pear nectar instead of guava and they are both delicious. You’re gonna love this bright fun mocktail recipe.

Ingredients:

Directions:

  • To a cocktail shaker add mint leaves and mash down using a cocktail muddler or the handle of a spoon.
  • Pour in the guava nectar and lime juice, then close the lid and shake.
  • Pour the mixture into a cup of ice. Add the sparkling water and top with lime and mint garnish.

3. Red, White, & Blue Mocktail

pouring blue lemonade into a mocktail

How fun is this for any patriotic holiday?! The kids will especially enjoy the cool blue and red ombre look. You can switch out the layers to other ingredients, but be sure the bottom layer has the most sugar for this to work. Then the 2nd layer has less, followed by the top with the least grams of sugar.

Ingredients:

A blue and red mocktail with a straw

Directions:

  • Add ice to a cup.
  • Pour the cranberry juice first, then the agua fresca, followed by the blue lemonade.

4. Raspberry Sherbet Fizz Mocktail

Ingredients:

Topping a mocktail with raspberries

Directions:

  • Scoop some raspberry sherbet into the bottom of a glass.
  • Add a splash of pineapple juice, and then fill the rest with lemon sparkling water or Sprite.
  • Garnish with fresh or frozen raspberries if desired.

5. Fruit Fizz Mocktail

Directions:

  • Cut about 1/3 of your watermelon off the top and scoop out all the insides.
  • Puree the pieces of watermelon in a blender or food processor and then strain the solid pieces (I strained over a large pitcher). Repeat in several batches.
  • Add pineapple juice and sparkling water to the “bowl” and pour in your strained watermelon juice.
  • Mix together and chill the punch and bowl in the fridge for about an hour or until ready to serve.

Doesn’t the agua fresca have less sugar than the blue lemonade? just trying to make sure I understand the order. Also having trouble finding the blue lemonade. it sounds better than the gatorade but gatorade may have to do. Eager to do this for my Moms bday on the 4th!! Thank you,

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Whoops sorry for the confusion. I looked back at my pictures and I was using the LIGHT version of that blue lemonade which does have less sugar than the pictured fresca. I updated the link… All were at my Kroger grocery store if that helps! Happy Birthday to your mom!

  8. AWS

I’m trying dry January for the first time and was thinking today I need to try mocktails at home to keep me on the right track. My go to in a restaurant is club soda with a splash of cranberry and a lime, but I wanted more variety. Looking forward to trying the ginger one! Thanks for these great and timely ideas for healthy living.

    • Lina D (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh good! Yum! Enjoy <3 Thanks for stopping by!

Publix sells Mingle’s (mocktails) $11 a 4pk. Total Wine and ABC sell CBD and hemp drinks as well for about $5 a can. I quit drinking 2yrs ago and never going back. I feel too good!

  10. Jeanette

Congratulations on your 6 years!!! I decided early on to “not drink” because of the changes that I saw that alcohol made on my people. I am 45 and still only “do Nyquil” when I am dying with a cold… ha! pretty sure that nyquil doesn’t count! Thanks for the tips on ways to making hydrating fun! ***If I ever did a mock-tail in a restaurant, how would I know that they made it right? any tips? (I used to go through coffee drive-thrus and order chocolate beverages—the amount of times that the coffee was accidentally added was more often than not- no harm no foul- but with alcohol, I am more wary)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hey, thanks a bunch for the congrats! If you’re at a restaurant and want to turn an alcoholic drink into a mocktail, just ask the bartender or server to skip the booze and be very clear with them that you don’t drink alcohol. Most places take this very seriously. You can also specify flavors or ingredients you like. For instance, if it’s a cocktail with fruit juices, soda, or syrups, request those without the alcohol. Most places are happy to accommodate, and you’ll still get a tasty, booze-free version of the original drink. Hope that helps!
