Does your family love chicken tenders like mine does? If so, try this easy and delicious recipe for baked honey mustard pretzel-coated chicken tenders featuring just three simple ingredients! Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken Tenders
cook time: 25 MINUTES
total time: 25 MINUTES
Crispy chicken tenders with a delicious kick of honey mustard flavor!
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless Chicken Tenders (I just cut chicken breasts into smaller pieces)
- 1 and 1/2 cups Honey Mustard Dressing
- 1 and 1/3 cups Pretzels (I recommend the Snyder’s honey mustard flavor)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt & pepper
- non-stick cooking spray
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Season chicken tenders with salt and pepper. Transfer to large bowl or gallon Ziploc bag along with honey mustard dressing and let marinate in the fridge for about an hour.
Place chicken on an oven safe wire rack over a baking sheet and spray it with the non stick spray.
Using a food processor or high powered blender, chop pretzels into crumbs and pour them into a bowl.
Run the tenders through the crumbs making sure the crumbs cover all sides.
Place tenders on the rack (I also spray a little of the non stick spay over the top to give it a little crunch). Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.
These chicken tenders were an absolute hit in my house!
Serve with some roasted veggies (I love these Roasted Brussels Sprouts!) or a salad (like this Zesty Cilantro Lime Quinoa Salad) and you’ve got a super easy meal.
My son said, “Ok mom, for real these are so good.” I hope you give them a try!

Thanks! These can be gluten free using the GF Snyders!!
Quick question. Can you substitute the pretzels with anything else? I have never baked ck fingers. Tia
Breadcrumbs, chex cereal..
Cereal (I use Captn Crunch or Original Special K when I make oven breaded chicken fingers), or Panko crumbs. You could also use saltine crackers or even ritz crackers.
I use chicken strips, dipped in egg and then coated with crushed cheezits or goldfish crackers…whichever I have on hand. This is one recipe I can count on all three of my kiddos eating without any hassle…lol.
Yes I agree! 🙂
Sure! I’ve used bread crumbs, panko, saltines, and ritz. Pretzels were very good though 🙂
Thanks everyone! I didn’t have any of those items. So this evening for dinner I used almond meal! It was delicious!
Thanks – great idea. Would love to see some vegetarian ones in the future.
A few months ago Lina did a whole week of black bean recipes… So good! Just type it in the search and it will come up 🙂
Did you post a recipe for Strawberry frozen yogurt Popsicles the other day? I can’t remember where I saw it, but really thought it was on Hip2save…
These look delicious. Thanks Lina!
Lina, I’m going to need a cookbook just for your recipes! Yum! Thanks.

Ha! Thanks Stacey! My TM could use help lately 🙂
what honey mustard sauce and dressing do you guys like?
From a bottle, I like Ken’s.
That’s our favorite! We haven’t found any better. I haven’t tried Bolthouse. Who sells it?
I get it at publix.
Lina, what brand of honey mustard did you use in this recipe? Thanks so much. I second the “cookbook” idea!
I used Newman’s Own for this. Thanks for reading and enjoy 🙂
Made these…the girls LOVED these! (I used Robert Rothschild Farm® raspberry honey dipping mustard from Bed Bath & Beyond)
I need simple fast dinners these look amazing and can’t wait to try them
What if I dont have a wire rack? I just have a cookie sheet. Will that work?
Yes that works!
