Stop Everything and Make This Reese’s Peanut Butter Ball Dessert
This Reese’s peanut butter ball is the perfect dessert!
Use your leftover Halloween candy to make this dessert!
No more wasting leftover Halloween candy! Consider creating a Reese’s Pieces dessert version of the classic cheese ball dip using peanut butter as a fun twist – perfect for parties or any occasion. It’s super easy to make, yet looks so fancy, and makes such a yummy treat!
The peanut butter chocolate combination is so irresistible and can be made year-round, but it’s a clever idea to use up leftover candy from Halloween. I’m sure there are some lingering pieces around your house just waiting to be transformed into a showstopping dessert!
A few recipe tips when making a Reese’s peanut butter ball:
- Don’t have Reese’s pieces candy? You could always use M&M’s candy instead, and festive colors would be fun for different holidays, like the red and green ones. You could also roll the ball in chocolate chips and peanut butter chips instead as another option.
- Get creative with dippers. I broke apart pieces of ice cream waffle bowls and served up graham cracker dippers too. You could use graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers, vanilla wafer cookies, or even apple slices would be yummy!
- This is a great dessert to prep ahead of time. Make the peanut butter ball a day ahead of time and keep it wrapped in the fridge, then simply coat in the Reese’s Pieces before setting it out to serve.

In fact, it’s a little hard to stop eating this peanut butter chocolate goodness. LOL! I think it tastes similar to peanut butter cookie dough or peanut butter cheesecake without all the effort. It’s a fun activity to have the kids help decorate.
What a beautiful-looking dessert cheese ball. Enjoy!

So…maybe I should stop eating the Reese’s that are currently on my desk and I’ve been munching on while viewing your site….hmmm. Sounds like a fun recipe to try!
Oh haha that candy sure is yum! โค๏ธ๐
I feel like I’d eat all the reeses before I could get them in the blender :/ Kids don’t get that candy at my house but it’s not for lack of purchasing it, haha!
Ha! Yes itโs temping for sure so buy extra! Ha
I love peanut butter and chocolate! I think I might take this recipe and use it to make mini balks and dip them in chocolate. Just like people do with the Oreos.
Oh fun I like that! Thanks Lisa!
That sounds great!
Itโd be good like this but a bunch of mini rolled balls and everyone could take their own!
Oh I like that! ๐ thanks Shannon!
I’m hosting a Halloween Party, how perfect is this!! Thank you for the post!!
SO PERFECT!! Yay – enjoy โค๏ธ
Yummy…
โค๏ธ YESS!!
I’d love to make this for a football party, sounds soooo delicious. But my all time favorite candy is reese pieces so , ill prolly use m&ms like you suggested. Otherwise no one else would get any of the toppings LOL! ๐ Thanks for the inspiring recipe.
Tried this out, it was pretty delicious overall! Next time I would do 1/4 cup powdered sugar, I feel like it stood out too much. Really appreciate the recipe Lina! You are amazing!
Oh thanks! Iโm glad you enjoyed โค๏ธ
Glad I just read through the recipe again. I saw 2 cups of Reeseโs peanut butter cups not 2 Reeseโs peanut butter cups๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Omg, I just made it last night and thought it was just 2 of the cups!! Lol. Let’s see how it goes…
How many days ahead can this be made?
This would be so cute if somehow you can make it look like a turkey!
Oh I love that! Maybe with some frosting. ๐
Outside of using just melting chocolates (Colors and options abound!), you could try skewers covered in various flavors of fruit leather (thin and colorful) shaped like tail feathers and arranged in the arc pattern. A quick search also showed marshmallows dipped in various colored (red, yellow, orange) sanding sugar and stacked on skewers. As for the head, I would go with a decorated chocolate covered Nutter Butter cookie with a candy corn beak! Sigh…makes me miss kiddie parties.
I can’t wait to bring this to Thanksgiving Dinner!
Oh yay enjoy!
How bad could peanut butter, brown sugar and cream cheese be!?!?!! Yum! Definitely taking this to a Halloween party Iโm going to
Can someone please make this and send it over to me this morning?!? ๐๐ฅ๐ซ๐ฅฐ
In fact, if you bring it over, Lina, Iโll have the tea kettle ready and we can chat as we drink tea and eat the Reeseโs ball (there will be no left overs so no need to tell my family ๐). I would love it!!!!
Ohh my YES! I am in! <3
