The Alexa Shopping List gives you cash back in the form of an Amazon credit!

Amazon Alexa App Shopping List Savings

Alexa Shopping List Savings gives you cash back in just 24 hours. 💵🤑

There’s a new way to score Amazon credits and it’s super easy! Before you go grocery shopping at your local store, download the FREE Amazon Alexa app and use the Alexa Shopping List to browse the current cash-back offers. You don’t need to own an Alexa to use the app, either. 👏 I don’t have an Alexa or Amazon device and I still scored an Amazon account credit in about 24 hours!

Claiming your savings is simple!

Once you download the app, you’ll be prompted to answer a few questions about setting up an Alexa device or importing contacts. If you prefer, you can skip every one of these questions and go straight to creating your shopping list. You’ll find the shopping list section on the bottom of the home screen or through the menu under “Lists.”

To see the current offers, click on the “Savings” button. You’ll see deals like “Save $3.00” or “Buy 2 get $1.00 back.”  I recently saw savings like these offered on products like Yoplait yogurt, General Mills cereals, Nature Valley granola bars, Air Wick air fresheners, Pepsi products, and Huggies diapers!

When you see savings offered on products you need, add them to your list and head on over to your favorite grocery store. When you’re done shopping, open the app and use your phone to take a picture of your receipt. Then, scan the barcodes of the applicable items and hit the “Submit” button. That’s all you have to do! In about 24 hours, your Amazon account will be updated with your account credit! 💰

Hip Tip: On “Buy 2 or more” offers, you only need to scan one of the product barcodes for the app to recognize the deal.

The pros and cons of the Alexa Shopping List.

woman holding money

The most offers this week were on personal care items that most anyone can benefit from, like toothpaste, shampoo, and Neutrogena skincare products. There was even an offer for $20 back when you buy a Philips Sonicare toothbrush. That’s not too shabby!

And if you’re a parent, the savings offers on diapers, baby food, and snack foods are reason enough to download the app. The process to get the credits was simple and straightforward, so you don’t need to be tech-savvy to figure out how to use it. And if you do have a question, the Hip2Save team is always here to help!

That being said, the app does have room for improvement.

This week, there didn’t seem to be a ton of offers, especially on healthier foods and protein. There were only two deals for produce, but the brands with savings weren’t offered at my local store. Also, make sure to read the offers closely. I missed out on $2 of savings because I bought the wrong size of my favorite laundry detergent. 🤦‍♀️

The bottom line.

If you shop on Amazon a lot, downloading the app is worth your time, so don’t delay, especially with Amazon Prime Day around the corner!

We don’t recommend buying anything just to get savings, but if you see something that was on your list anyway, why not get some cash back? The app is easy to use and FREE!

Can I use this with ibotta and fetch?

Hey there! You may be able to utilize other reward apps, since you are shopping in-store and scanning in a receipt with this app. It might not work for some items as the Amazon Alexa App terms state “a Reward request may be rejected for products purchased using other coupons or rebates.” Hoping this is helpful! ❤️

I don’t see that option at all for me

So sorry for the confusion! On the Amazon Alexa app, click on “More” in the bottom right corner, and then click “Lists & Notes,” tap “Shopping,” you may have to click a “Let’s Get Started” button if you are new to the app, then “SAVINGS.” Hoping this does the trick! 💗
