You all asked, and our team listened! We’re back with another Amazon fashion try-on, except this time we’re sharing some of our favorite finds just for plus-size ladies! Many women struggle with online ordering especially when it comes to finding the perfect fit, so we’re here to help you add a few staples to your wardrobe, no matter your size!
A few of our team members purchased best-selling plus size women’s fashion items from Amazon. Read below to get their thoughts and to check out their trendy pieces . I think they totally rocked this one!
1. Tiffany’s stripe color block t-shirt

“Let’s be real- when you’re curvy it can be challenging to buy clothes online and they never seem to look like they did in the photos or the fit is terrible. Well, look no further because this shirt has it all!
Quality material, a sweet little scoop on the front and back, plus I really love the fun patterns. I felt extra confident and put together with this shirt and it’s a new favorite staple in my wardrobe. Will I go buy all the other colors? Definitely, YES! I did size down for a tighter fit, so I’m thinking your typical size or one size up will give you that nice tunic look.

The kimono is so cute! I got the XXL and it fits very well and is so soft. There’s a lot of extra fabric in the chest/underarm area which allows me to have full movement. It has a nice tunic length and I think it would look best with jeans, shorts, or capris – something that offers a bit of shaping and support around the middle because this didn’t look too great with the leggings like I had originally planned.

“The leggings are nice but definitely clingy! I think they’ll be perfect under my fall and winter dresses and long sweaters, but I would not wear these with tunics and short shirts as they don’t have any support around the waist… (aka, they show e’rything). I normally wear a size 24 and the XL fit great, much like LLR Tall & Curvy. I prefer thicker material like Lane Bryant’s Livi active collection.”
*Stacy is 5’7″ and wearing an “Extra Size (24-32)” in the leggings.

We like to provide real team member feedback, so we had to choose from among team members for models. We come in all shapes and sizes, and we tried hard to pick styles that would look great on any body.
Ha! When they first asked us about trying Amazon clothes, I was totally like — are these for real plus sizes or like XL. I’m glad I tried them out! I wouldn’t buy the tights again personally but I seriously love the kimono. I’m wishing now I had gotten a better pic because I don’t think mine shows how well it fits and how comfy it is. I love that there is so many patterns too.

If you need plus size career pieces, try BHFO. They have a website but the auctions on ebay are insane. $150 Calvin Klein Sweater for $20. Im not so big on the name brands, but they are generally much better quality. They have a great selection of all sizes and especially plus sizes. Go to ebay and type BHFO in the search bar. They have shoes too!

It is not cheap but you will get a first time user code and offers from time to time that help. What is wonderful is that you can adjust dresses to your measurements for a custom fit. Things like necklines and sleeves can be changed. I get so sick of hemming, tucking, and making do. Clothes are beautifully made. I did buy from Amazon a Navy laced lined knee length dress to go to a wedding that was very reasonably priced in a size 20 from Chicwe. The Chicwe size chart was very accurate. One last comment about the 14w. No most people wouldn’t call it plus size but it is a very difficult size to find both in stores and online and presents its own frustrations. I’m sure the 14w crowd appreciated the review.
👏🏻🙌🏻 This! I agree 14W IS plus size and almost impossible to find. Anyone in that size range knows the pain of trying to squeeze it not a regular size 14 or wear an oversized 16W that is equally uncomfortable. And for those that will comment, yes, I have lost enough weight to fit into a regular size 14 dozens of times but I am curvier (truly curvier, always have been even when I weighed much less) and my body naturally seems to gravitate to a certain weight.

Let this be noted, leggings are not pants. You don’t wear them with your regular shirts.
You may note as well that I wear leggings 5 out of the 7 days, as pants. With short cut tank tops. And I look pretty darn cute. You just gotta find the correct thickness; it works for me!
Yes Daniela, im with you. I wear leggings several times a week with all kinds of tops, and someone almost always compliments on my outfit. Rock whatever u feel like, is my philosophy 😉 .

SOOOOOOO true! If people could see what other people see; they would be more cautious. I have seem hundreds of people wearing leggings that are see through (EWW) or that make them look like 15 pounds of sausage crammed into a ten pound casing. Have some self-respect. No one wants to see that! Dress with some class.

I think you all look great in the clothes you have selected. I love seeing what people really look like and the honest reviews. I’m tired of all the airbrushing we see everyday online. So glad you did this post because it makes me feel good about the future. I want my young girls to know that they can dress beautifully (and on the cheap!)no matter what kind of body type they have…P.S. This was a great post and some excellent tips from reader’s on other online options! I am plus size and to know there are some options outside of the standard, Lane Bryant, Catherine’s and Avenue (all of which can be expensive) is great. I hadn’t thought of amazon for fear their plus size is really not a plus size.

As a plus size woman, size 14 – 16, a 1X. Sorry, not one of these articles of clothing are attractive for any age plus size woman or lady. I am 51year’s young & am always complimented on my clothing and style, and by all ages. I don’t buy anything I don’t try on, and am the 1st person to have a piece tailored to fit my tiny waist to accentuate my natural curves. Other than the little dress, which is a tad bit too short for big women with big knee caps,but has an attractive cut with the A line flair, these are all a bust. So many pieces of clothing could have been added here, a belt sitting right below the smallest part od a ladies natural waist works miracles, a kimona that glides over the rear end & is belted to one side, with a dark denim pair of jeggings, with a pair of either riding boots or the leather bootie/shooties, accessorized with a statement necklace, bangle bracelet, on a simple vneck, boat neck top, with a nice fedora hat will turn the most introverted women into an extrovert. Empyting uour cliswts and adding only mock tye wrap dresses & shirts for every day wear will turn a woman into that inner vixon. A pair of kitten heels to pair with jeans, jeggings, skirts, skorts, shorts, takes you to a new level. I wish i could post some photo’s of myself on here, up to a size 3x & as small as a size 3, & the style doesmt have to change, but the fabric must. Wearing clothes that actually fit you and dont look like a bag or are 3x too big makes a huge difference. No one, not even my Dr’s can believe I weigh 214 lbs at 5’8″ & wear a 14 – 16 or 1x. There truly are some attractive looking, better fitting, clothing for women size 1x & above that don’t have stripes or cut off at the most unflattering parts of the body.

I would love to see your wardrobe. I totally agree with your reasoning, You can look good at any age and at any size. I think leggings can look good on any size as long as they are not see-through and are complemented by longer shirts. I was not excited about the styles shown.
