Wow! Thank you, JP!
do they hire for a temp role or permanent? What is starting pay?
I work at Amazon…the base pay is $15
I just heard that six Amazon warehouse workers have tested positive. Please verify this information. IDK how accurate the informer is. Thank you
I work at Amazon and they are usually pretty good with informing us of things like this. I only know of one known case they had in Washington the state when the pandemic first started
I work at Amazon too but there have been no cases in my station
I’ve seen that reported as well, J.H.509!
I just did a quick Google search and as of 30 minutes ago, a report stated that 10 different Amazon warehouses have had someone test positive. Looks like the one in Queens had more than one. I had no idea before your post. Thanks for the info!
Queens ny amazon warehoise closed out few days ago due to someone tested positive
Today, Thurs. Mar. 26 the Today Show just reported that several Amazon facilities have closed and there are several more facilities where at least one employee has tested positive.
Ugh…so I’m told my job isn’t safe because it spreads the virus among employees and customers…but for some reason, Amazon is immune to the virus and Walmart or 7-11? Smh… say what? Isn’t this just spreading this crazy virus more? Kids can’t go into schools but Mom/Dad can get sick.
Groceries and gas are necessities. People need food, medicine, soap, hygiene products, diapers, etc. We can’t stop people from having access to these or it would be complete chaos.
And for those that have a calling to care, many assisted living communities and nursing homes around the country are hiring. No experience necessary just a caring heart!
I’ve also seen that Zoom
and Slack are hiring. Probably need background in IT.
Thanks for the heads up!
The Post Office is hiring too.
Awesome! Thanks a bunch for commenting!
This might be worth its own H2S post (?) but I saw a great tip in a forum post elsewhere that if you’re either laid off, or working from home and not driving to work because of the virus, you should call your autoinsurance company to lower your rates. There’s no point in paying a rate based on commuting XX miles to work daily if you aren’t doing that. Even if you’ve prepaid for the next 6 months, they can prorate the difference and pay it back to you.
Oh! Interesting! Thanks, Jake! I’ll be sure to pass this along to the team!
Jake? From State Farm? 🙂 Sorry. Couldn’t resist.
Omg, lol! If anyone needs to know – I’m wearing pajama pants!
Sounds Hideous! (Couldn’t resist) LOL, thanks for the laugh!
😂
I have a work permit are they accepting those?
