Keep your kids learning with these free educational games and websites!

With schools closing across the country to limit the spread of Coronavirus, many parents are worried about how to keep their children on track and learning at home.

Thankfully, there are safe, fun, and engaging educational websites that your children can use for FREE to stay sharp during school closures!

HIP TIP: Students can get 60 days of free broadband or WiFi access!

Many of these websites are normally accessible by subscription-only, but they are opting to waive their fees for students who are now home from school due to COVID-19. Some of the websites can be accessed directly by parents and students at home, while others will require you to ask a school official to register on your school’s behalf.

Check teacher pay teacher too for free activities. You don’t have to be a teacher to make an account

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Great tip, Lisa! I love TPT as a homeschooling mom. I have found so many fun escape rooms, worksheets, book guides, and lots more. So many great resources!

    • Caitlin

Moffatt Girls has amazing 3 week learning at home packets, 80 pages for $5, preschool-third grade. My daughters teacher said they were great, and we love them! Available on teachers pay teachers!

      • lisa

  5. cpnkay

I was able to do abc mouse and adventure academic for free without using any credit card info (30 day free trial that will likely automatically renew unless you go back to change settings). The code SCHOOL7771 works. Abc mouse had been running very slowly, likely from all the extra accounts/traffic. and

    • Luv

When I try to redeem SCHOOL777, I get an error message that it’s for another school district and to reach out out to my school administrators. ☹

      • Caitlin

I know certain school districts were sending out redeem codes for abcmouse and readingIQ apps. So maybe reach out yours?

  6. Heather Haney

Teach Your Monster To Read is free till Monday.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks, Heather! We added that.

  7. Caitlin

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks, Caitlin!

    • NF

Can you share more? I still see paid membership for starfall.

    • michelle

Is there a free access code for starfall?

      • Caitlin

You need to either have your teacher email Starfall, or you can email them yourself

    • Starla Cooper

How do I redeem free membership?

  8. Erin

My son has been enjoying science mom and math dad on YouTube. They are live streaming for two hours each day at 10am CST (you can watch after too). Its called “QuaranTime”
It’s kept him engaged for the whole two hours both days so far and the kids get projects to do.

    • Stacy F (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks, Erin!

  9. laurentomkomarshall

I am a teacher and LOVE Epic! – and so do my students! It is a great digital library. Students can read colorful books and listen to audio books on their computers or iPads or phones. There are audio books and videos, too!

    • Chrissy

Is epic free? All I saw was it was 7.99 a month?

  10. ozark

  13. nicolecoleman

I wish they would add prodigy to the list my son insisted I buy a one month package for 9$

  14. Mp

My class enjoys Epic as well. Students earn badges & rewards for reading which motivates them. There’s a good selection of books based on their age.

    • padmaja

Is epic an app or a website?

      • MP

You can use it online on a website or the app, so it’s basically both. I have a class account though. My kids log into my classroom. Not sure whether parents create an account the same way teachers do.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh cool! Nice find, MP! Thanks for sharing!

  15. Yrarchie

Thanks so much for this list. It’s hard to find things for older kids in Middle-High School.
