Hip2Save reader, Kaonu, sent in this clever idea on how she repurposed her inexpensive but old entertainment center – turning it from a TV stand into a baby station, a toy organizer, and more!
“I purchased this entertainment center for my first condo from Big Lots in 2006 (that’s 12 years ago!). I first used it in my living room. When I met my husband and moved in with him in 2009, he wanted to get rid of it, but I wasn’t ready, so I had it moved to his home.
Three years later, we had our first baby and used the entertainment center to organize her things in our master bedroom (photo on left). It was so useful and fun during a stressful time with our first newborn!
We then moved in 2013, and I still was not ready to part with this entertainment center. We have 2 girls now and are using it in their playroom to organize and display their toys (photo on right). To brighten things up, I simply taped cute scrapbook paper to the back.
So… although this entertainment center is old-fashioned, was inexpensive to purchase, it definitely paid itself off after being repurposed this many times. Hmmm, I wonder what we’ll use it for next? 🤔 I think I will use it to organize my craft supplies!”
