The joy of Hallmark Christmas movies STARTS TONIGHT! 🎄

While you may still be settling into the idea that it’s finally fall… Christmas is coming early for fans of the Hallmark Channel!

Hallmark is releasing forty brand-new holiday movies this year, and we got a peek at the network’s Christmas movie lineup last month. Although a few of the details are still being finalized, we now know the titles, stars, and premiere dates of most of the new Hallmark Christmas movies.

Twenty-three of the new Hallmark Christmas movies will premiere on the Hallmark Channel, and the remaining 17 will first air on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. Both “Countdown to Christmas” (on the Hallmark Channel) and “Miracles of Christmas” (on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) are scheduled to begin on Saturday, October 24.

Both channels will be airing Christmas programming all the way through December, so we’ll have two solid months of Christmas cheer coming our way from two different Hallmark networks! 🎉

Here’s Hallmark’s Christmas movie premiere schedule so far…

    LOVE Hallmark movies.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

      ME TOO! 🎄💕

  3. T

Yay. I am so excited! I love all Hallmark movies but especially the Christmas movies. Thank you for sharing this. 😀🎄

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      You’re welcome, T!

  4. Maggie

If we don’t have cable what are the options for watching these movies? I’m guessing Hallmark Movie Now would be an app we can put on our phones and smart TVs? Would it access all the new movies?

Does Hulu Live provide access to Hallmark?

      • ShannonMarie

Yes!! We have this too and I LOVE it!!

      • Maggie

That’s awesome! Thank you!! Do you know what happens if you miss one of the new Christmas movies at their premier time? Will you be able to watch it on another “air date” or at your convenience during the holiday period?

        • Amie C.

If you choose the $5.99 plan you do have the option to “look back” up to 72 hours so you do have a bit of an option to go back and watch movies that you missed. The next level up for $7.99 gives you unlimited DVR so you can look at the schedule and record the movie that you want to watch.

It doesn’t quite work at your convenience because it is live TV so you can’t sit down and say oh I want to watch the wind caused the heart movie and look it up and watch it but you do have options within a period of time to go back and watch it or with another package to record movies that you want to watch at your convenience.

Hallmark Movies Now works similar to Netflix, it’s a library of older Hallmark movies but it won’t have any of the newer movies airing this year. If you don’t have cable but want to watch the new movies your best option is Frndly TV. For $6 a month (slightly more if you want to add DVR) you will get all three Hallmark channels and you can watch just like everyone else who has cable. It’s like having cable without having cable 😁. There are other options like Sling TV, Philo, and Fubu TV- they offer The three Hallmark channels along with a large selection of other channels but if you are mainly looking for just Hallmark then Frndly is the most affordable option.

      • Maggie

Does the DVR option allow you to skip commercials?

        • Amie C

If you DVR and watch later you can fast forward through the commercials 😊

    • Peaches

Check out Philo. $20.00 a month and you get all 3 Hallmark channels, UPTV and more. No news, sports or locals but still worth theprice especially because it is contract-free.

  5. Evie

I wish Hallmark would air some older movies as well. Instead, they show the same movies over and over.
And no I do not want a streaming service to watch reruns.

    • Amie C.

Hallmark Drama has a lot of the older movies, maybe check with your cable provider to see if they offer Hallmark’s third cable channel.

    • Evie

I also like some of the older movies. No streaming for me. The VCR was better. Could rewatch or watch when I wanted.
Streaming is a way to make you pay more!
I also hate pay on demand! I do not think I should pay to watch 10 year old movies!
With all of the commercials on cable they cannot cry poverty pocket. I get a lot of reading and work done during the ads!

  6. animity

DO NOT use Philo. The amount of commercials they air is absolutely ridiculous! Watch 2 minutes of movies 3 minutes of commercials, 2 minutes of movie 3 minutes of commercials. It is soooo painful! You literally pay to watch commercials.

    • Peaches

I love Philo and don’t mind the commercials. I just hith mute and get up and move for the duration. You can save the movies and then watch them later skipping the commercials

  7. Donna Shaffer

Will the movie be shown Homecoming for Christmas Day ?

  8. MamaBug

Does anyone know of a way to find a specific Hallmark Christmas movie on a streaming service? I’m having no luck! My husband’s cousin wrote Memories of Christmas which debuted in 20018 and I have been unable to find it. We don’t have Hallmark channels. I would be happy to pay for a subscription if I could figure out which one I needed! Her movie has made it into some top lists of Hallmark Christmas movies and I really want to see it!

Here is the link for the movie if there is anyone who knows how to find it online…. I’d appreciate it!

    • nama9times

If you know anyone that has Dish Network, that movie is on tomorrow, starting at 11:00 pm on channel 187.

      • nama9times

You can buy the new Memories of Christmas DVD on eBay for $8.86 with free shipping. 🙂

  9. Luv2save2

Oh man. I don’t know if I can watch these. They always make me cry. 😢

  10. Countrygirl545

We don’t have cable, but have a smart tv, and use the free app through AT&T (it’s called WatchTV) to stream from our phones to the tv! I’m so happy to be able to watch Hallmark movies for free!

  11. Iamkgonz

I am cable free too! How can you watch the new Hallmark movies without cable? Is there any way to access on Fire stick? Are on your phone or app to TV??

  12. Tiffani

You can also watch Hallmark Movies on YouTube!

  13. NicoleNYG

I had a offer for my Dish account $3 a month for 6 months for the heartland package that includes all the hallmark channels and then some. My mom is so pumped because I signed her up for that and printed out your list for her. thank you so much for the reminder and list! Anyone with Dish check your account because every year they offer that deal.

  14. Evie

The only thing I pay monthly is a cell phone. I hate paying a Bill’s that keep going up, while quality goes down.
