These Colorful Shoes are a Great Reminder to Take Each Day One Step at a Time
Take each day… one step at a time. ❤️
Jenny’s daughter transformed an old pair of Walmart shoes into a colorful “new” pair of kicks with an amazing reminder on the soles. Not only did the sneakers turn out beautiful, but the printed message is sure to put a smile on everyone’s face that sees it. 🌈 Check out what Hip2Save reader, Jenny, had to say below.
“As we see more hope and brightness for the future, we continue to take one step at a time! Day by day, we still pray as we see light at the end of the tunnel.
My daughter recently asked for an old pair of shoes so that she could paint them. We had purchased these shoes at Walmart on clearance for just $2. They were worn around the bottom after wearing them several times. I love how she chose to use bright colors and make them “new” again!
Several days after she had painted them, we were contacted by her Girl Scout leader requesting the girls in the troop get creative. She needed inspirational messages to put together a Google slide “card”. This will be sent to a nurse who is currently working on the front lines with COVID-19 patients.
I knew the shoes she had painted were meant to be used! After receiving the message from her Girl Scout leader, we added the inspirational quote with heat transfer vinyl. We hope this brings a smile & sunshine to her day!”
These shoes are sure to brighten anyone’s day! ☀️
We love the colorful creativity that went into sprucing up these sneakers and the heart-felt reminder you put on the soles. I’m sure it put a smile on that nurse’s face (and anyone else who sees it)! ❤️
And what a frugal way to transform an old pair of shoes and make them “new” again. Thank you, Jenny, for sharing your daughter’s awesome rainbow shoes with us! 🌈

Cute!
Nice job!
Anyone know what kind of paint she used?
She just used acrylic paint. You might be able to use a clear spray paint to seal them!
I love this kid and her Girl Scout group. They are the people we need growing up in this world. They are making it a better place. One step at a time.
