This Reader Turned The Traditional Gift Basket Into a Gift Tower!
You’ll never think of gift baskets the same way again! 😍
Gift baskets are always a wonderful and welcome gift idea, especially when you make them yourself so you can personalize them with items that that you know the giftee will love.
This week, we have a reader who put a spin on the classic gift basket by… wait for it …not actually using a basket at all!
Check out her super creative idea…
I made my friend a birthday tower, and instead of a basket, I used a clearance cupcake stand I ordered from a deal I saw on Hip2Save! I filled the shelves (which are normally meant for cupcakes) with lots of fun finds – many deals I found on your site.
I started it a few months in advance and then just continued to add on. If you look closely, you can see I even gift wrapped cleaning wipes! Hey, it’s practical right?! She can even reuse the cupcake stand too!
You could also take this idea to make a similar gift tower for kids as well.
Thank you, Kyra, for sharing this new way of creating a gift basket with us! I will never do my gift baskets the same again as I am 100% stealing this idea! 🙌
The big problem with traditional gift baskets is that you can’t see half of the contents until you empty it out. This totally takes care of that issue and it looks so classy as a bonus! I love that you were able to fill it with deals from the Hip2Save site as well, BIG thumbs up to you, Kyra! 👍
HAPPY FRIDAY!

This is a brilliant idea! I’m sure you can also do this with those tiered farmhouse trays that sell like hotcakes in Targets dollar spot!
This looks very cool! How do you keep the stuff from falling down? I am going to try this! Thanks!
That is such a clever idea Kyra! I am definitely going to try this in the future.
I absolutely love this idea! I already have some cardboard cupcake stands that I got super cheap. I always give my sister a goody box for Christmas, this would take it to a whole new level!
Pun intended? π
Awesome idea; I want to be your friend Kyra!!! Thanks for sharing. π
