This Reader’s Daughter is Selling Christmas Ornaments to Buy Gifts for Those In Need
It truly is the most wonderful time of the year!😍
There are so many things I love about the Christmas season, especially the generosity and kindness that it brings out in people, but what has really impressed me this year is how giving the KIDS have been!
With everything going on in the world right now, it can be hard to see the good but I can tell ya one thing, we are raising our children right and this week’s Happy Friday story is proof of that. ❤️
My 7-year-old daughter recently overheard me talking to her best friend’s momma about how she wasn’t sure if the kids would have a Christmas at all. After I got off the phone, my daughter asked to use it. She was messaging a friend asking if she could sell some things at his shop so she could get money to buy them gifts. After I got done bawling like a baby because of how freaking great my kid is, I helped her figure out what we wanted to sell. We decided on ornaments. They were 50¢ for two at dollar general. I had the rest of the crafty stuff we would need at home. We started making them and they turned out perfect!
I wanted to share in case someone else may be looking for a super cute and cheap, cheap, cheap way to decorate their tree or if you have a world-changing heart like my girl who wanted to make some extra money to save a kid’s Christmas!
Thank you, Sweetklouise, for sharing your story with us! I continue to be surprised at how wonderful and caring our youth are, they are truly the bright spot in all this darkness. And I must say your daughter has some serious art skills! That grinch is perfection!🙌
