No big deal, but… Shane and Jacee GOT MARRIED!!!

The long-awaited day finally came when Shane and Jacee tied the knot! 🎊 You’ve likely watched their entire relationship unfold if you’ve been following along with our monthly updates. First, they met through Hip2Save, we watched the surprise engagement, we got a peek at the bachelorette party, and in April we were blessed with a gorgeous photo dump from the day they’ve been waiting for.

Shane said their wedding was simply PERFECT. It was rained and snowed at random times, but the sun came out right before the ceremony kicked off. It was even complete with a potato bouquet and all. 🤩

We helped finished my daughter’s end-of-year school project. 

We can hardly believe the end of school is nearly here! My daughter is studying pandas in school and finished her school project this past weekend. We saved money by getting fresh-cut bamboo from our neighbors and using tissue paper from my son’s birthday gifts this past month. She did such an amazing job!

Erika took an impromptu trip to the beach with all her pups.

Erika drove to California to visit her mom and decided to take an impromptu beach trip. It was her dog Ellie’s first trip to the beach and all their pups had a blast. She said normally the beaches in Northern California are foggy and pretty cold this time of year, but she was pleasantly surprised with the most gorgeous day! Plus, you can’t beat the free price to enjoy the beautiful scenery for a day!

Nicole went to a concert and won $200 before the show even started. 

Last year, Nicole bought tickets to see Aaron Lewis for her husband’s birthday. They decided to make a weekend out of it by also celebrating their two-year anniversary and getting a hotel. They compared rates on Hotel.com to ensure they got a great nightly rate and they splurged by doing a little gambling at the concert venue before the show started. Lucky for Nicole, she won $200 and came out ahead!

Soleil found a loophole with the Target Car Seat Trade-in Event and still got 20% OFF a baby item. 

Lucky for Soleil, she was able to take advantage of the Target Trade-In Event without a trade-in! She’s way too excited for her bundle of joy to arrive now.

Nicole scooped up this Amazon spice rack while it was on sale for about half the cost. 

Nicole had been eyeing up a Woot deal on this spice rack and scooped one up when it came back in stock. You can score it for as low as $16.99 if it comes back or it’s currently on sale for a few dollars more on Amazon. Either way, Nicole said she loves how it organized all her spices and the black and white labels she scooped up were the perfect touch. Plus, she has tons to spare for future fills!

Alli found an electric cleaning brush which has been working great for cleaning her bathroom.

When Alli spotted this electric cleaning brush and various attachments in the affordable Target Bullseye aisle, she didn’t hesitate to scoop it up! She’s said it’s been working amazingly well to clean her bathroom shower when paired with The Pink Stuff and said you should definitely scoop one up before they’re gone! 👏🏻

Alli also scooped up more Old Navy sale items this month.

Alli is still a huge fan of the Old Navy joggers even though she recently tried the much more expensive Athleta joggers Collin is always raving about. In fact, she bought another pair when she saw the incredible activewear deals at Old Navy – starting at just $4.97! 🤩 Plus, she also scooped up a few dresses since summer is coming fast and Old Navy is having 50% OFF dresses!

My daughter bought a new dress at our local consignment shop and scored 25% OFF for Earth Day.

We love shopping at Kid to Kid for the majority of my kid’s clothes! This past month they hosted an Earth Day sale where you could score 25%-50% OFF the entire store, so I let her pick out a new dress for her cousin’s birthday party. Didn’t she look adorable?! 🤩

Here’s a few books our team read this month:

Bryn just finished Someone Else’s Shoes and said it was the perfect book to take with her on vacation. 

Someone Else’s Shoes is about two women from very different backgrounds who come together somewhat reluctantly and ultimately end up helping one another in many ways. Bryn said this book was such an easy read and perfect to take on vacation or to read over a lazy weekend.

Alli said On Gin Lane is the perfect beach read with a fun 1950s flair. 

Accordingly to Alli, you should grab a bellini, sunglasses, and head outside for this fun and easy read! It’s 1950s in the Hamptons and instead of a girl finding her way socially, she figures out who she is in spite of her upbringing. She said she’s so glad she read this book to kick off her “beachy reads” for summer.

Alli said she can’t stop thinking about The Four Winds book and will never stop recommending it to everyone. 

Alli said she cannot stop thinking about this book and has had literal discussions about it with so many people already! It probably goes without saying she loved this book! She said who would’ve thought the Dust Bowl would make an interesting novel? But boy, it does! She learned so much and absolutely fell in love with the characters. In fact, doesn’t think she’ll stop recommending it to people and said it’s WELL worth your time!

Alli isn’t a Colleen Hoover fan, but it still recommending the Never, Never book after finishing it. 

Alli was hesitant to say she doesn’t like Colleen Hoover’s books since she’s wildly popular at the moment (and she’s read four so she’s certainly given them a solid try)! However, she said she thinks any Colleen Hoover fan will really love this read. It’s a little different than her other love stories, but what makes it so engaging is the mystery of it all.

Shane said this book was a great intro to moviemaking and screenwriting. 

In the midst of getting married, Shane recently finished this book which is a beginner’s guide for those who want to get into screenwriting and moviemaking. It’s authored by Blake Snyder who sold many successful multi-million dollar scripts, including one to Steven Spielberg. If this sounds right up your alley, he said it’s well worth the read!
