there is a specific way to fold them back up. I’m always showing people on the beach because they can’t figure it out…I was one of those people in the beginning too:) haha! Flip it upside down and take the bottom rungs in either hand, then collapse it. For some odd reason you can’t collapse it from the top, only by the bottom rungs. you can google or you tube it and you’ll see how its done.

Stand on the rear bar, pull up on the back rest, and it collapses easily.
Actually I have two of these chairs and they do fold oddly but they are great solid chairs. To fold them I lay the chair down and push it flat.

I’ve had my Tommy Bahama chair for 4 years…it’s still in great condition and super comfortable. I got mine from the actual Tommy website but im guessing these are the same quality. I love mine 🏖💺

I’ve had this chair for many years and it’s a great one. It’s easy to fold once you figure it out. I usually tap the bottom rungs and it folds with no issues.
My husband and I had to look up a YouTube video on how to fold these the first time we used them at the beach, LOL. Once you know how to do it, these are the best beach chairs ever!
My husband bought one of these at the beginning of summer. It’s nice and wide, but I don’t find it comfortable to lay all the way back in it. We have a similar style, different brand of chair that we bought 12 years ago that feels like much better quality than these. Maybe it’s just the difference in manufacturing processes over the last decade, but this one felt much cheaper even though it cost more than our other one.
I do show these are available for me to buy them online but it shows the price is $44.99 instead of the $34.99. Are they cheaper instore than online?
Online prices are always more, because they include shipping and handling. You have to go into the warehouse to get this price.
I bought 3 of these chairs at my local Costco at the beginning of the summer. I also had issues folding them, but that is because did not read the instructions pamphlet that comes with the chairs. It is actually very easy as explained in previous comments. I do think they lay flat nicely, we love the small pillow, the straps to carry it and the extra pockets. Go for it! 🙂
We purchased 2 of these for our Florida vacation and absolutely love them! Side and back pockets on the chair are very convenient! I am sure we will get much enjoyment out of them!
