Wow! This deal just got more interesting!

  2. Toni

Sears and K-Mart are owned by the same company. Because K-Mart is on my list of places never to shop at again I will have to pass on this deal. Thanks for the info though.

  3. Susan

Does the Sears have a rebate limit?

    • Susan

Oh, I checked, it’s one per household.

      • Julie

it actually says one per customer or e-mail address…. does this mean my husband can order too?

        • Julie

i’m talking about the sears rebate (not cvs)

  4. Patricia

FYI – Sears gift cards can also be used at OSH.

  5. Teresa

Does this apply only to in-store purchases or online purchases as well? Can’t find anything stating that.

    • MoKeaton

Online as well. I ordered this morning, and used the info from my confirmation email to submit for the rebate online at http://www.mysearsrebate.com. When you go to enter your receipt, above the receipt info is some tiny text that says if you ordered online click here, and it takes you to a webpage to enter your email confirmation info. HTH.

AAARRRGGHHH! Put the order through & THEN saw the post for the CVS deal. Oh, well!! Still a fabulous deal, the $10 ECB was just a little more lemonade!!

    • MoKeaton

Same here. And I forgot to go through ebates! 🙁 Oh well, still a great deal of $50 worth of clothes for free. 🙂

      • Dee

Cashbaq gives 5% back for Sears. Every percentage counts!

  7. Teresa

I just found out through our local Sears store that it doesn’t apply to online purchases, only the store. That is what the manager told me. They don’t have a big and tall section at my local store so I can’t benefit from this ..aaarrrggggg…….. Hope everyone else has luck.

    • MoKeaton

On the rebate page at http://www.mysearscard.com, it is eligible, and I already submitted for the rebate. 🙂

    • Lisa Sage

Teresa, check out the website or call customer service. It looks to me like it applies to online shopping as well because they are advertising free shipping along with the rebate if you spend $75.

  8. Rita

wish i could find a good deal on starbucks gift cards..want to give to teachers for end of school

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Also FYI,CVS takes Jcpenney credit cards. If you are a member of JCP Rewards, you can get points for that.

  9. Olivia Smith

I will definitely take advantage of this deal, I’ll stop and get the gift card and voila, get the $50 back. I’m sure there are still some good items in clearance on Sears?

  10. Sandy

Does anyone know if there is an activatin fee for the Sears gift card? I doubt it but not sure.

    • melissa

There’s no activation fee on Sear’s gift cards. HTH!

  11. Karen

Sears also has a new rebate program and card that is completely free. I would sign up for this (you earn 1% back) and then go shopping!

  12. Sandy

Awww, I just read the Sears rebate form. The $50 you get back is in the form of Sears Come Back Cash and you can only use it on more men’s clothing. I would so have done this if the $50 Come Back Cash could have been used anywhere in the store. Oh well, not a deal for me.

  13. Smitha

Can you use the CVS extrabucks to purchase gift cards?

    • Julie S.

I don’t think you can, but maybe a cashier might let you.

      • Smitha

Oh. A pity. I’d a few ECB in hand. No matter. Its still a deal. Hope my cvs carries Sears Gift Card.

    • Miriam

no you can’t I believe it says it in the fine print on the ecb, same as the $5off $15 coupons can’t be used on gift cards. I wish they could too!

  14. Elizabeth

Sears gift cards can be used at K-mart, Lands End, and The Great Outdoors as well. In case you guys aren’t lookin’ to buy men’s clothing and get the rebate but still wanted to snag the GC for the EBs.

  15. Marcia

There is a coupon online for 20% clearance and regular priced apparel, at my store it is on Sunday. That makes it even better!

  16. Christylee

Wow smokin hot deal for Fathers day, I was going to order my husband the worx gt weed wacker but after reading reviews online I was doubtfull. One person suggested to buy it at Sears so if you didn’t like it you wouldn’t be out 2 shipping costs-one when you buy it and the other to return it-if you don’t like it. So I was going to spend $120 there this week so now I can buy 2 $50 gift cards and get $20 Ecb makes it worth it even more now. Thanks again!

  17. Kevin

Not sure how I messed this up, but I bought a 50 dollar Sears gift card from cvs this morning and didn’t get the ecb reward. I used my care card, and even asked the cashier if there was a mistake. Oh well, hope I get the Sears rebate.

    • Bethany

The ECB deal starts Sunday or if your CVS is not a 24hr store it starts Saturday after 6pm.

      • Kevin

ahhh, details..details.. well I’ll learn from this mistake. Still managed to spend the gift card on all clearance items, plan to use the rebate the same way.

    • robin

      kevin,
This deal at CVS officially starts tomorrow (6/13). My CVS starts Sunday’s deals at noon on Sat the day before, but this may vary by store. You did not get your ECB because the promo did not start yet.

  18. Jessica

So you can get tje rebate if you pay with a gift card?

    • Kelly

Does anyone know the answer to this? Think I’m going to contact Sears and check it out before getting a gift card.

  19. Brenda

hey gals does anyone know if this applies to Big and Tall and Young Men section also? And can I use a coupon code(I’ve heard from other websites that this was a hassle last-time for people that used different offers) I would like to use a coupon code ;)thanks

  20. Karen

I asked this before on the other post, but the more details section on the Sears web site says “Not valid with any other coupons or discounts (including associate discount).” Someone mentioned the friends and family discount-if you utilize that today on-line would that make those items not eligible towards the $50?

    • cathy

When Sears sends you the $50.00 come back cash..you have to spend it in the store to purchase more mens apparel..right

  21. theDealyo.com

FYI….Usually the gift cards you buy at CVS or other drugstores charge face value ($50 for a $50 gift card) but charge a $2.95 activation fee. They put this in really small print on the card it comes on.

  22. Chrissy

I tried to buy this at CVS today and it rang up that the gift card could not be sold…

DO NOT DO THIS DEAL WITH GIFT CARD unless you plan on spending 50 out of pocket after the gift card! Just got off the phone with Sear Rebate Center. THEY WILL NOT HONOR THE REBATE IF YOU PAY WITH A GIFT CARD. The consider a gift card to be a “promotion” and the rebate form says can’t be used with any other promotions. I also spoke with a manager who would not budge. Guess corporate will be my next call. What a load of crap! Too bad I did this deal already yesterday and already took tags off and washed the clothes or I’d be returning them today.

    • rebekahh

I’m SOO sorry to hear it didn’t turn out for you!! I just wanted to thank you for saving the rest of us… very considerate!! THANKS!

      • robin

My local Sears Manager (Jacksonville, NC) was nice enough to return all the items, “change” the form of payment to cash and re ring the items for me so that I could qualify for the rebate. Sweet!

    • Joyce

I called the toll free number on the rebate and they told me the same thing:( Bummer….don’t get why a gift card (which is like cash) would be a “promo”. Thanks to everybody for posting and saving the rest of us the hassle!

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

We went to Sears last night and used a $50 gift card that we got @ CVS. Found out this AM that gift card’s were not part of the refund. Took the clothes back to Sears, they gave me cash back to purchase the clothes with which is eligible for the refund. Just call your local Sears store and ask for a manager and they will be glad to clear it up!

    • Joyce

Wow! I think you lucked out……I bet they won’t be refunding much more of these gift card mix ups;)

  26. bentleymommy

My cvs doesnt offer $10ECB there was no signs and nothing in the ad. Where did this image come from? I cant find anything anywhere on line about this deal!!! And now my gift card is no rerturnable!!!
