National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – FREE Passes
U.S. military members and dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard (and also Reserve and National Guard members) can get a free National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass (costs $80/year for the general public). The pass must be obtained in person at a Federal recreation site by showing a Common Access Card (CAC) or Military ID (Form 1173).
It’s important to note that though the pass price is waived, there is a $10 processing fee.

Military discounts are valid every day of the year, including ALL holidays. Complimentary admission is reserved exclusively for active duty service members upon presenting a valid ID.
Active duty U.S. Armed Forces personnel receive all the benefits of their 1-Day Pass admission to the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park upon presenting a Common Access Card (CAC) or Uniformed Services ID Card at our gates.

Waves of Honor permits any U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman to one complimentary admission per year. This covers up to three direct dependents. General Motors (GM) – Special Pricing

The discount can also be shared with military spouses. To take advantage of the military discount, visit ID.me to create an account; or, if you already have one, log in with ID.me. Then on the GM Military Discount landing page click “Get Authorization Number.”
Once you’ve logged onto their site through ID.me, your identity will be verified, which means you’ll no longer be required to provide proof of eligibility at the dealer. However, you must still bring your authorization number — along with a copy of your driver’s license with the license number redacted — to your dealer when you’re ready to purchase/lease a new vehicle.
