I ordered one of these ages ago when they had the offer up and they never sent me my sample. And by ages I mean over a year ago. I really wanted the little carrying case. :/

    • Kate

Bummer, Amber, I hope I get mine!!! Did you try again? The case IS so cute…

    • tomcatnavywife

If I sign up for a free sample and don’t get it, contact the company, if they don’t have any more samples, they should send you coupons, the last thing company’s want is an unhappy customer! =D

    • Laura

I ordered one within the past 4 months and I received it. You should reapply.

    • Becky

Same thing happened to me, Amber. Here’s hoping this one actually arrives!

    • MaryAnn

I agree Amber. I sign up for this sample every time it comes around and I have never gotten it.

    • Lachelle

I wondered; I haven’t ever gotten it either.

    • Chrissie

      same here!

    • Erin

I’ve also signed up for this sample multiple times and never received it. I wondered if anyone else had the same problem.

      • pamela

I ordered one a while ago-and it came. It took a long time, but these are the best tampons ever! No leaking!!

    • Amanda

I ordered this sample twice over a year ago and they never came. I even got an email that said we’re sorry we didn’t send them and that they were sending them and still never received it.

      • Niki

I ordered every time it become available. NEVER received. I started to feel that this is scam.

        • Jill

I’ve ordered this a couple of times and I even received an e-mail asking me about the product or something, but I have never received the product.

  2. Kate

Thanks, Collin!! Got it!! Love love love the case!!!! ; )

  3. Kate Miller

    THANKS!!!

  4. Roncenna

Samething happen to me amber. Thanks Collin!

  5. Abigail

lol. thanks! i got it! 😉

  6. Ms Tee

    Apparently, I’ve ordered this already…

  7. tomcatnavywife

    Thanks!

  8. Caroline

Totally agree with you Collin! I don’t know how y’all use that without an applicator. lol

    • Amber

They have a whole Q&A section that addresses concerns about not having an applicator. The plus sides are that the tampons take up much less space in your bag, it’s more environmentally friendly since it uses less materials, and you don’t have a bunch of stuff to throw in the trash (which might be a concern if you are at someone’s house and want to be discreet).

      • Caroline

Yes, absolutely. I definitely can see a lot of pluses! I just have never done it before so perhaps I should read the Q&A. Thanks Amber.

    • rachel

they are very actually very easy to use. applicators are wasteful. i believe in europe all tampons are applicator-less (could be wrong on that). ive been using these for 10ish years and trash ive avoided making in those 10 years really adds up! give em a try!

      • Caroline

        I will. Thanks! 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I visited Germany last year and no applicators are definitely the norm although they do still sell ones with applicators. Overall, a much more environmentally friendly country:)

    • Jillian

IMO it’s not a big deal to not have an applicator. Especially when the tampon works as AMAZING as these one’s do. These are by far my favorite brand and one of the few products I’ll pay full price for.

    • Jill

I think it would be messy to use one without an applicator unless your one of those lucky women who have light periods.

  9. nonebetter

Hope I get this! I need an applicator too, but the case is cute 🙂

  10. Stephanie

oooo the case is cute! But, um…without the applicator how are people suppose to???? This will have to be a donation item, but I’m keepin’ the case!

    • pamela

They are really easy to use and they work really good–no leakage!

  11. fuzzymitten

    Thanks, Collin.

  12. Renee

I order this over 6 months ago but never received it. I went to order it again today because the case looks cute, but it said ‘Sorry you’ve already request this sample’, guess I won’t be getting one.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I used to buy these all the time bc they were super cheap. The price has since trippled. I like the idea of less plastic. The no applicater thing isnt as bad as it sounds you get used to it;)

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Applicator, should of spell checked!

      • Amy

        Lol. Yes, she should have.

        • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

That was me slamming my own spelling=)

  14. Heather J.

When I started my period as a teenager, my mom taught me how to use a tampon with these! I had no idea for the longest time that they make tampons with applicators and I was so disgusted trying to ‘navigate’ these things I switched to pads (not much better!)… So these kind of applicator-less tampons very much remind me of my younger years, and not in a very fond way!

  15. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I agree, no applicator, no way! Buy I ordered it in hopes that the tampax compak will fit in it!

    • Melissa

The Tampax Compak is too tall…I currently have both at home.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

How about the u kotex tampons will they fit there extremely compact lol

        • Jillian

No other brand will fit in the holder.

  16. Stefanie

I for one love non-applicator tampons – less waste and also much easier for me to use, personally.

    Thanks Collin!

    • rachel

im with you stefanie! we rock the earth girl. 🙂

    • NolaGirl

I LOVE o.b. I’ve used them since high school, and that was a long time ago. You can fit several in your pocket with or without a case. Also, never had a problem with leaks.

On the down side, last time I tried for this offer I never got it and the price has soared.

    • Melissa

I think these are great…I use these when at home. I happened to score some boxes earlier in the year at Target when I had coupons and they had them clearanced out…I am almost out now 🙁

  17. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    Thanks!

  18. Brittanie

It says I am not old enough lol I am 22 oh well 🙁

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

hehe, that’s funny! I’m 21 and no problem.

    • Jill

Are you sure you didn’t enter your birth date wrong?

  19. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

NEVER ever have i received this when i ordered this. Tried about 5 times.

  20. hon

Your free sample will be on its way shortly.

  21. shonaphillips

    Gotit . thanks

  22. Samantha

I agree with several people who mentioned the waste and expense of feminine products. I couldn’t stomach buying a box where the whole thing would eventually end up in a landfill. I ended up buying a diva cup for 25 bucks and love it. Less waste and less money thrown away!

    • rachel

ive read about them….havent worked up the courage to try it yet…

      • Samantha

You should! I was never a fan of tampons, so I was nervous about trying them too (they look even more intimidating) but I don’t feel it at all, way more comfortable and no leaks!

    • Sarah

Love my menstural cup! I have both a diva cup and Lunette.

      • Latasha

        which do you like better?

        • Ashley57

How often do you buy a new one? I am curious about it now – had never heard of it before.

          • Samantha

Their website says to replace the diva cup every year, but that it depends on the use and care. Mine is in good condition and I’ve had it over a year. The keeper’s website says you can use it for up to 10 years or more. I think that if you take care of it you can use it until it wears out, so years.
            Here’s some links:
            DivaCup https://www.divacup.com/
            Keeper and Mooncup https://www.keeper.com/index.html
            Lunette https://www.lunette.com/
            Miacup https://www.miacup.co.za/
I was pretty confused on what kind to get, but came to the conclusion that they are pretty comparable and I just went for convenience and cost (as in what I could get with prime shipping from amazon) so I went with the divacup. It came in the cutest little storage bag 🙂

    • Amy

Love my menstrual cup too! I use the mooncup. You can keep them for up to 10 years! (They’re made of medical grade silicone which is the material used for artificial heart valves so I imagine 10 years is a conservative estimate.) Pros: really comfortable (I bike and do yoga with the cup in), I have to change it a lot less than pads and tampons, no leaking at night, not making a monstrous amount of trash every month for 30-40 years of my life.

  23. JennyB

I have applied for this 4 times in 2 years. Never once gotten it in the mail! I did however get my Target beauty bag today 😉

  24. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    To Much Information !! 🙂

  25. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    To much information……little embarassed

  26. Ashley

For those who say that without an applicator there is no way they would use it I have to say I’ve had friends who say the same thing and I highly dissagree. Environmental agrugment asside you should not be squeemish about knowing your body. These are a little more personal than applicator tampons but that is a very good thing. I feel like applicators are usefull but takes away the ritual of women knowing whats going on down there.

    • Latasha

Well said! Being ’embarrassed’ about your body is a sad thing.

  27. Andromeda26

So they’re using “cute” to market tampons now? Wow. lol

As for using a tampon without an applicator…I didn’t know that was possible until I read these comments & followed with a little research of my own. (I had always assumed that tampons were way too flexible for that.)

And to all the TMIers: I think it would be safe to say that anyone reading this post & comments either was a menstuating feamale, is currently menstruating female, is going to be a mestruating female, or knows a mestruating female. Periods are a fact of life. Just like death, taxes, & KY.

    • wildharemom

haha…that last example gave me a chuckle, given the KY discussions that go on when that coupon comes along!! thanks for that!
Also, i dont know if anyone else noticed there is another link that you can go to that you can “share-it-forward” ..copied the following info:

If u r my age u have seen the commercials for OB tampons from the beginning and they say, “designed by a woman doctor” and maybe it’s just me but what fucking woman would design a tampon that you have to shove up your vagina without an applicator. Maybe it’s just me, but I have been wondering about that for 20 years. It sounds like something a man would design, but Oh No, It was designed by a woman.

    • Anonymous

You are entitled to your opinions but I personally find your use of language inappropriate for a very family friendly site.

    • Amber

If you’ve been wondering that for 20 years you must at least be in your 30’s. If you’re in your 30’s you should know how to speak like an adult and not like a texting teen. Also, if all other women agreed with your opinion, then O.B. would not be as popular as they are, or in business. I believe it when they say it was designed by a woman, because a woman should not be squeamish of her own body. Men, on the other hand, tend to squirm if you even say the word “period” and would be more likely to design something with an applicator that keeps you as far detached from the biology as possible.

    • Dee

Yes, please keep your curse words to yourself.

      • Ashley

        Agreed!

  29. Leisa

I have tried to get a sample a few times and never got mine! 🙁 I could use a ltl case

  30. sarah

i used to only use ob tampons when they had the applicator and used to be way cheaper too! they are so over priced and now no app i dont think so.
i usually only ever buy kotex u because of alllll the coupons i get!!

  31. Brittany
