think they might be gone. I recieved the message above stating my shirt was on the way, but my friend just tried and it states “supplies limited on a 1st come 1st serve basis” She ordered a size xl. I ordered a size medium, possibly out of size xl?
Did I get one? Did anyone else get this: It says thank you – Supplies are limited & available on a first come first serve basis..

Now they are saying that they will notify winners?? So, what exactly is the deal? Because I signed up in time, chose a size, and was told my shirt was one it’s way. But now they will notify winners via email? Hmmmmm…….

Same here, no email, I was told my shirt was on it’s way, so now if I don’t get an email I really didn’t get one? I figured it was too good to be true because it was so easy to get online and request it.
Well I signed up on Facebook, and it said my shirt was on its way. But today I got an email that stated-
“If you are receiving this email, it means you signed up after we ran out of free t-shirts.
We received such an overwhelming response to our recent t-shirt promotion that we blew through our inventory of t-shirts much faster than expected. We’re sorry you didn’t make the list!”
Um…then why did you say my shirt was on its way? Sounds like a bait and switch because they’re offering me a special offer instead of the freebie.
“Your offer: Get 2 free Astor & Black custom dress shirts with any suit purchase —a $280 value. Our suits start at only $599. Contact us to schedule an appointment.”
Only $599!?
Yeah. I just got the same dreaded email from them. First they said that my shirt was on it’s way and now they’re telling me I signed up after they ran out. They’re full of it. Bait and switch. I’ll bet Brooks Brothers would never pull any crap like this….
GRRRRRR! Like Trixie & Malibu I just got that e-mail from As@tor & Black!! What a Scam! I made a copy of their confirmation that my shirt was on the way. Honestly, I don’t really care about the shirt – but this “deal” that they are supposedly offering stinks. It sounds like they never intended to offer any free shirts. Only to gather info. Well, this will certainly backfire (or at least it should)! Their reputation in my book is that of the lowest of the low. I hope they get overwhelmed with responses & get blown away!!
I agree. I smell a scam to get their name out and gather information. I had actually forgotten all about this offer until I got the email and I would’ve most likely given the t-shirt away anyway if and when it came. My husband has plenty of shirts and some he hasn’t even worn yet. Dumb move on their part and they will soon realize the mistake they’ve made. It’s a shame.
I just put the following on Facebook:
Hi Guys!
What’s up w/the e-mail you just sent? You’re saying that I didn’t make the list. Well, you gave me a confirmation saying my shirt was on the way! Were you lying or what? How can you run a business or attempt to promote your business by swindling the public on Facebook? Shame on you. I hope you have the deceny to make this right for all the people who received your confirmations!!
I agree, I am so mad! Don’t tell me you’re sending me the t-shirt and then renege on your offer. I don’t want your offer of a $599 suit instead, I’ve never spent that much money on something to wear! I just wanted a t-shirt! When I didn’t get one that was fine, but you took all my info and told me I got one. Did anyone get one???
Me and hubby signed up- both got confirmations that shirt was on the way. He got an email basically saying never mind. I never even got the promised email. There were only about 200 likes on their page when we signed up so I know we were pretty early.
