We have this. I wouldn’t recommend it. It keeps changing the temp in the house when we don’t want it to. We can be asleep and the temp will drop 10 degrees until we turn it up.

I was reading the reviews… I think you are not alone!

Really? We have one and we love it! We’ve never had any problems with it at all!

We love our Nest. We have the 1st generation. I have not had the same experience that another person posted that it fluctuates when you don’t want it to. It does have a period of time after installation where it learns what you like. I would call the company and get a replacement if I had the same expeirence of the other person. Anyway, we love it! It saves us about $10 per month on average.

we have this, and it lowered our electric bill by $60 a month. i’m not kidding, it paid for itself in no time. we live in Arizona, so A/C cooling costs are significant. after using Nest for several months, our electric company re-evaluated our usage and adjusted our monthly payment down $60 less per month. if you don’t think the Nest has your house temp. at a comfortable level, you can always adjust it manually like a regular thermostat and make it the temp. you want. also, if we are out of the house for several hours, my husband just uses his iphone to signal Nest when we are on our way home and tell it we would like to start cooling the house down.

We have one and absolutely love, when we are away we can turn it down or up from the phone. So when we leave it doesn’t waste electricity and e house is warm when we get back

We actually have two since we have a two-story home with separate upstairs and downstairs AC units. We absolutely LOVE these. We’ve had them for about six months now and we save over $50 a month – even in the summer. Since our daughter’s room is upstairs and ours is down – the upstairs A/C and heat is off at least 12 hours a day. Ours is second gen – but we’ve never had any problems! And I love being able to change the temp with my phone while I’m gone.

I have three units with radiant heat in the four season room the Nest has figured out ramp time to run before we awake. If you are having temp swings see if the away is causing problem by turning it off for a couple days! If you look at your heat times and the little bit you are using I would hope you see the savings this thermostat is doing for you. AC usage this summer was the least ever on my bill and we were hot in Michigan
