Walgreens: *HOT* Walgreens Brand Children’s Chewable Vitamins Only $0.25 Each (After Points)

As I mentioned in the Walgreens Weekly deals, Walgreens Brand Vitamins and Supplements (select varieties) are on sale Buy 1 Get 1 FREE! Even better, when you purchase 4 participating varieties, you’ll get back 5,000 Balance Rewards points, which is equal to a $5 reward to spend in-store. Well, this promo makes for some pretty sweet deals since these Walgreens brand items aren’t usually too pricey… in fact, check out the email I received from Hip2Save reader, Sarah:

I was so happy to see that the children’s chewable vitamins were not only included in the B1G1, but they count for the 5,000 points deal! That ends up making them just $0.25 each after the B1G1 and points!

With that being said, check out the deal you can score:

Buy 4 Walgreens brand Children’s Chewable Vitamins, 60-ct $2.99 each (price may vary by region)
Minus the buy 1 get 1 FREE sale = $5.98 for all 4
Plus, get back 5,000 Balance Rewards points for purchasing 4 (= a $5 reward)
Final cost ONLY $0.98 for all, just $0.25 each AND no coupons needed!

(Thanks, Sarah!)

    Thanks, Sarah & Collin! πŸ™‚

      YW! πŸ™‚

  2. Pamela

    GREAT deal!!! Thank you!
Just to verify, I can’t use any Balance Rewards points to purchase these vitamins AND get the 5000 points in this deal….Correct??!!

    • Ali

      That’s correct, Pamela.

    • Ariel

that is correct. You can use Register rewards to pay for it and still get the balance rewards though…

    • jac

You are correct, Pamela. If you pay with points for any purchase, you won’t earn points on any items in that purchase. Great deal, though!

  3. Pamela

    Thank you everybody!!!
    Happy shopping…
    :))

  4. Christen

Anyone know what the exp date is like on these?

    • Sarah

      Mine said 11/15 and 1/16!

      • Lorie

All 4 bottles of mine said 01/16! Yay!

  5. Sue

Awesome deal . My son cannot eat the gummies as he has got a few crowns and I was waiting for a deal like this. Hope my walgreens has it in stock. Do walgreens give rain checks ?
Thanks Colin for all that you do 😘

  6. Jenni

Does anyone know if these vitamins have iron in them? Ty

    • Sarah

      18MG

  7. Shelly

Great deal! But the prices do vary, they were $3.79 at my wags.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh darn! Thanks for the heads up, though. I’ll add to the post.

    • kady mae

yea mine were 4.99 sad face

  8. Maria

I pretty much stopped wags after this point system…but how do I get the $5.00 reward, does it just print at the register after the purchase like a register reward? Also, is there a limit per card to this?

    • Sarah

it shows on your reciept. And there is no limit to points. If you bought 8, then you would get 10,000 points

      • Nik

Be careful! It doesn’t always work this way. If the deal said purchase 4 or more, get 5,000 points then that is all you would earn no matter how many you bought.

    • jac

Maria, the points will be linked to your card/account, and verified at the bottom of your receipt. On any purchase after this one, you can tell the cashier that you’d like to redeem your points (worth $5–be sure to spend at least that much).

      • Maria

        Thanks Sarah and Jac!

      • Nik

You can redeem in smaller quantities too. You can redeem 1,000 as a $1 reward, 2,000 for $2, and 3,000 as $3.

        • Maria

I didn’t know that, thanks Nik!

  9. Nicole

I did this with the children’s gummies. $4.59 reg price.

Question. I stopped shopping at Walgreens as I never had much luck there. Maybe it’s just my area…Anyway, I am going to try again. In a few minutes as a matter of fact, but I am curious. If I buy the Renu and receive the $5 reward, would I be able to use that towards my purchase of 4 Tide detergent and one Dawn soap? I would be using five manufacturers coupons…would I need to add another smaller item to use the reward?

    • Bobbie

This comes late, but the deal you mention with Tide and Dawn would also earn you points, so you couldn’t get those points if you used points to pay with. No fillers would have been needed though, as it’s not a coupon reward but sort of like funds on your Walgreens account. The main thing to remember with points is don’t use them when you want them. Otherwise they are fine to use (like for purchasing Register Rewards items). Hope this helps!

  11. Jessica

My store only had 3 left so i grabbed a bottle of a different vitamin on clearance for $3 and still got the 5000 reward points.

    • Teresa

My store also had only 3 and they were $3.29. I bought some vitamin C that was the same price and used the RR from the kinesiology tape.

  12. Melody

    Also available on walgreens.com!!
I ordered 12 (the max) and 4 adult muti and a cheap filler to get to $25. Also used vits10 for 10% off and shopathome for 5% back!!! Paid $25 and got 20,000 points!! πŸ™‚

    • Vanessa

THanks Melody. How long did it take for your 20,000 points to show on your account?

      • Melody

Still waiting. It says once order is shipped I think.

  13. Arianne

Can I buy 2 from one store and 2 from another and still get the points?

    • Missy

No, all 4 have to be in the same transaction.

      • Arianne

        Thank you πŸ™

  14. Tammy Pottorff

Ya I made the mistake of letting the cashier use my points to pay and didn’t receive the 5,000 points back but I didn’t know that was why and called customer service and he said since I really had no idea he gave me a one time courteous 5,000 points amazing customer service

    • Missy

      Wow!!!! Nice!

  15. Laura

Can someone explain the balance rewards program to me? Today I went and the receipt said I had 5000 points. I thought when you had 5000 you got the $5 off Register reward. How does this work?

    I’m not a Walgreens frequent

    • Heather C

Points and register rewards are two different things. You can use your 5,000 points toward a $5 purchase, and earn register rewards if you want, OR for almost anything else- some exclusions…..BUT you can’t use to pay with points IF you want to earn them at the same time. Hit the “Walgreens” tab on The H2save upper right corner and Collin has it all mapped out for you. Good luck! 😊

  16. Laurie

Anyone know what the age on the children’s vitamins are? How old do they need to be to use them? Tia!!

    • Cat

Ages 2-4, half a vitamin. Ages 4 and up, one vitamin. However IMO these are for 4 and up anyways (my two year old wouldn’t be able to safely chew these). Hth!

      • Laurie

        Thanks Cat!!!

FYI, adults can take these vitamins too. They list the %DV of each vitamin/mineral for adults and many of them are at 100%. In the past I would take children’s flavored chewable vitamins because I didn’t get why manufacturers think adults want to take bad tasting vitamins. πŸ™‚

FYI 2, if your store doesn’t have sufficient quantity, it may be possible for a manager to provide you with a printout of nearby Walgreens that have sufficient quantity. This happened to me. hth πŸ™‚

  19. Teetee20055

I finally found a store that had 4. I paid $7.58 oop and got the 5000 pts. Thank you for posting. The vitamins prices do vary by region. They were $3.49 in Louisiana.

    • a friend

      Hi Teetee20055,
here’s a friendly suggestion, any time you plan to spend that much out of pocket, you may want to browse the ad and see if there are any products you can get for free with the same amount. For example, you could have purchased the kinesiology tape for $6.99 and received a register reward back for $7, and then used the $7 register reward to purchase the vitamins. This way it’s like getting a bonus gift for spending at Walgreens. πŸ™‚

Even if you don’t need the “bonus gift”, you can give it to family or friends, or donate it. πŸ™‚

  20. Lauren

Online there is a code for 10% off vitamins.

  21. Ehrin

Can anyone speak for taste on these? I’d hate to buy four boxes of something that my kids won’t take.

  22. Trish

They were $2.79 at my Walgreen’s instead of $2.99! But they only had 2 left in stock. Still $1.40 each isn’t bad after the buy 1 get 1 free for a 4 month supply of vitamins for my little guy πŸ™‚

  23. faith

Just fyi…before u buy these take a min to look at the ingredients!:-( I was horrified at the things they put in ”childrens vitamins”. Not all vits are equal! Thanks Colin, u are awesome!!

  24. sarah

Boo for me. My Walgreens sold same for full price $5.79. So not worth it. πŸ™

  25. Angel

I just scored a great deal on vitamins at walgreens!!

    Sundown Biotin 7500 mcg $10.49
    Sundown Vitamin C gummies $8.49
    Sundown Adult Mltvimn gummies 8.49
    Sundown Adult Mltvimn gummies 8.49

    Total: $35.96
    Minus BOGO sale = $18.96
    Buy 4 get 5000 points or $5 reward= $13.98
Used TWO $3/2 sundown vitamin coupons

Final cost: $7.98 or $1.96/bottle!! Thanks, Collin!!!!!
