I swear it never fails! JUST drove the hour to target with coupons of course. Got some great deals and I come home and you post MORE deals! ACK!! Oh well…next time. 😉 Love ya!

    • collin

      I know… I have a tendency to do that, don’t I?! 😉

  2. I Heart Coupon Deals

My parents are at Target right now doing the Oatmeal deal…I just called them back to tell them about the express oatmeal…Hope they find it! Thanks!

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

These were $1.07 at my parents store in TX.

  3. Nicki

I just got back from doing this deal at my Target after seeing it on another site. The Brown Sugar is the only variety that is included in the $5 deal and if you use the gift card to roll on to the Healthy Choice 10/$5 gift card deal as well it makes for some very cheap weekday breakfasts and lunches this week. Also my Target had the Success Boil in a Bag Brown Rices with $1 off peelies making them 74 cents each.

    • Crystal

Did you notice if the $1 peelies were Target coupons or manufacturer coupons? Because I have $0.75 manufacturer peelies from Publix which could make for FREE rice if the ones you found were Target peelies (most of the peelies I have found at Target are usually Target coupons)

      • Nicki

They were manufacturer coupons, so you couldn’t use both.

  4. San

totally off subject : Would greatly appreciate if somebody could please tell me where to get coupons for Vicks Humidifier (It costs around $50). Thank you.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      San,
I’m not sure I’ve seen a manufacter coupon for it But, I have a Rite Aid coupon from an RX transfer if you would like it. I’d be happy to mail it to you. It’s $5.00 off any Vicks Vaporizer or Humidifier and expires 2/27/10. It would be awesome if you could find a manu coupon to go with it. My e-mail is sapphire92782@gmail.com

    • Cath

All the humidifiers at my Supertarget were on clearance today, including a couple cool mist ones… HTH!

      • San

        thank you

      • Craig

Speaking of, What is the difference between the cool mist and the warm mist? I mean from a useage point. Is one better for say, winter use? I figured they were all the same. Now they got ultramist, cool, warm, etc. Uuugh. lol

        • Sonya

The cool mist ones are safer around children. I have 2 kids that are asthmatics and they also got pneumonia this winter and their dr. recommended cool mist ones for them.

  5. Craig

Good thing I didn’t do the Target drive yet! Woot woot! .02c?!! Looks like it might be a Oatmeal week for breakfast.

    • Craig

Ok after going to 3 Targets and 2 cities, I say, screw this deal! I give up! Im sick of Targets around here not having the same products at each store. The bigger one that was suppose to have these singles did not carry them either. Uuugh. One of the 4 total Targets of course was out! Did meet another follower though so that was cool although we both left empty handed.

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I went to Target this am and just went back. I got 15 brown sugar expresses @ $1.17. The shelf was full. This is great to take for my breakfast. Sometimes I don’t get to eat in the am. I got 6 target GCs today. I am saving mine for Xmas, b-days, etc. or if I need them at the end of the month.

    • holly

That’s Awesome. I’ve never done a Target GC promotion before. Did you have to do mulitple transactions to get all the cards or just one ?? Thanks for your help 🙂

      • Crystal

You can get all the gift cards in one transaction or you can split it into multiple transactions and use the previous gift card on the next transaction so that you spend less out of pocket

        • Holly

Thanks. I got my oatmeal today and got 2 GC’s. SCORE!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      did you use any mfc?

  7. Heather

Where are these located? I mean, near the oatmeal in the regular area or on an end cap or something? I was there today scoring some cheap Dove products for both my hubby & myself. But if I can get some uber cheap oatmeal, I’ll go tomorrow after dropping my daughter off at preK. Thanks in advance!

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

I too would like to know where these are located…

    • Nicki

They’re in the breakfast aisle with the oatmeal (usually on the top shelf because they’re individual serving sizes). Please make sure you only get the brown sugar variety or you won’t get the gift card deal

      • I Heart Coupon Deals

        Thank you Nicki!

        • Heather

Thanks so much for the info! Off to score some insanely cheap oatmeal tomorrow!

      • Tiffany

Oy…I made this mistake earlier! Didn’t pay enough attention to Collin’s post! Thankfully, the nice employees at my Target went and got them for me:)

    • Crystal

It was on the top shelf in the cereal isle with all the other oatmeal at my target

  8. Brittany

A little while ago there was $1/1 Quaker coupon.. Would those work on top of it? It was a printable one.

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

It looks like there is a $1 Quaker printable coupon HERE, but I have not been able to print it so I am not sure of the wording on the coupon and whether or not it will work.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It says on any Quaker Instant Oatmeal or Quaker Quick or Old Fashioned Oats, so it should work, right?

        • I Heart Coupon Deals

Well not like what Amazon says goes…BUT the Quaker Express oatmeal on Amazon says that it is instant. I would categorize it as instant as well.

      • bfam

Thanks for the link. It only gave me one print, so on to another computer….

    • Crystal

There was also a $1 off instant oatmeal in my red plum insert today but it says off any box… I’m not sure if the printable states that as well?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just printed them off and they say on any Quaker Instant Oatmeal or Quaker Quick or Old Fashioned Oats. So does this mean if I print off 5 of them (I have 3 computers), I’ll only pay .10 and then get a gift card on top of that??? Cuz that would be awesome!!

  9. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    isn’t there a $3 off 5 quaker Q?

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

There is a $3.00/5 tearpad coupon out there. I don’t have it on hand at this second so I don’t know what participating products it includes…

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

        found this:
Participating products include: Cap’n Crunch(14-160z) and Life(14-15oz) cereals, Quaker Ready-to-Eat cereals, Quaker Instant Oatmeal(6-10ct), Quaker Simple Harvest Hot Cereals and Granola(6-10ct) Bars, Quaker Quick and Old Fashioned Oats, Quaker Chewy Granola Bars, Quaker Fruit Flavored Crisp Bars, Quaker Granola Bites, Quaker Oatmeal to Go, Aunt Jemima Pancake(32oz) & Waffle Mixes and Syrups, and Quaker Instant, Quick and Old Fashioned Grits. (Offer Excludes individual sizes, trial sizes and Quaker Rice Snacks)

        Expiration Date 03/31/10

so that would mean you could not use it, since they are individual sizes, I think?

        • Tara

yea i was looking at this coupon the other day thinking i could get some cheap individual sizes but i dont think its valid on it 🙁

          • Elizabeth

i used mine. It beeped, but he pushed it through. it also said on grits and other items that weren’t pictured so it probably depends on your clerk. i bought 25 and my first two transactions i used the $3 coupon and paid $2 oop, but got the $5 gc and then used it on the other transactions. my cashier was an older gentleman who was real funny. he wanted to ring them up only five at a time so i could use my gift cards. he said i didn’t need to be spending more money than i needed to!!!

        • Denise

Maybe the single serve cups count as the Quaker ready-to-eat cereals you listed?

  10. I Heart Coupon Deals

My parents just found over 15 of these at their store…they are about to head to the register…awesome deal! THANKS FOR SHARING!

  11. Sarah

I’m going to head to Target later tonight – in a snow storm – just to get this deal!

    I guess I have a couple of questions…

So say I buy 5 of them and get my gift card. Can I use it on that same transaction to only pay $.10? Or do I have to roll it into my next purchase?

The same goes for the Venus razor deal… I got 5 papers today so I have 5 of the b1g1 lotion thing with the Venus razor. I also have 5 of the Fusion razor coupons. So could I, essentially, buy all of these things (let’s say 25 oatmeals, 5 Venus razors, 5 Fusion razors and 5 lotions) and get all of the gift cards… ($25 for oatmeal and $25 for the razors) and then use that $50 to pay for the purchase? How does this kind of thing work? Would it just be easier to do 5 different transactions?

    Thanks!

    Sorry for the confusing question!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Do the self check out

      • I Heart Coupon Deals

        Target has a self checkout?

    • Bev

From my experience, you cannot use the gift cards to pay for that purchase.

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

I am not sure of the limit on the Quaker right now but what you can do is have them scan the first 5 items, the prompt for the first $5 gift card will come up…Have the cashier scan the next 5 to see if another $5 gift card prompts and so on. If it doesn’t prompt after they scan a 3rd set of 5 just have them take them off and do it in a second transaction…Hope this helps!

      • I Heart Coupon Deals

whoops I am sick so I read your question wrong. You cannot use the gift cards from that same purchase to pay for it. The register will not allow it.

    • Sonya

I believe you have to roll this deal! You could do one transaction of 5 oatmeals plus the things for the Venus deal, get your gift cards, then use those gift cards to pay for the other transaction, and so forth.

    • Sarah

Thanks, everyone! Just went to Target, did 5 separate transactions and got 25 Oatmeals, 5 Venus Embrace Razors, 5 Fusion Razors and 5 Olay Ribbons Body Washes! Total paid: $41.30 – $10 in Target Gift cards left = $30.30! Wowwww!

      • Sarah

Ooops! $31.30. Sorry, got a little excited! Oatmeal is my favorite good so this deal is SUPER awesome for me!

        • Sarah

Jeez, Sarah! *food (not “good”) 🙂

          • Sarah

Oh my Goodness! Okay so I added up my totals wrong! I saw my “total” was 11.78 for one transaction but I got $10 off in gift cards so it was $1.78. So I only paid $31.30 – $10 in Target Gift Cards left = $21.30!

            …$21.30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Mrs. B

Sarah- you cant use the same gift card you just used to buy the item. Like if you buy the cereal and your balance is .10, you cant use the gift card on that transaction. However, you can use it on the NEXT transaction. So basically any transaction you are to recieve the gift card you can not use in the same transaction. that sounds confusing? lol.

  13. Mrs. B

Also meant to add when I did it once, the register beeped letting the cashier know that in fact I couldnt use the same gift card to pay for the same transaction. But like I said you can use it on any transaction after that.

  14. Amanda

OMG.. i SSsOooo glad you found this. This was the week, i was going to start eating ” right” with breakfast, and this is what i was looking for. THANKS!!!:)

  15. Crystal

Just ran to Target and got 15 for $0.30! Can’t wait to check more Targets tomorrow!

  16. Joan

Are people finding these at regular Target or just Supertarget??????? Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just went to our regular target and they had them in the oatmeal/cereal isle.

  17. Jessica

What an awesome deal! I am going to go to my Target after work tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

  18. Tara

Just got back from target and they only had one of the quaker express 🙁 the monopoly, pictureaka and scrabble card games went through no problem. Parma, Ohio

    • Jaime

All of these card games were $6.99 at my Target 🙁 I was bummed so I tried Walmart and they had them $5.24 🙂 PLUS the Monopoly card game was on clearance for $4!! So I got 3 of them for free and the other card games as well for .24 🙂

  19. Leigh

Forgive me if this has been covered before, but how do these gift card deals work? Are they automatic, or do you have to have a special coupon or barcode for them to work? Thanks!

    • Nicki

When the cashier scans the 5th Quaker Oats participating product the register will beep and instruct them to award a $5 gift card automatically. This is actually a deal that doesn’t require a coupon!

  20. Sara

my target didn’t give me a gc. Bum! But, at my target the games were all 6.99 so I went to Walmart and got them all there for 5.24~ 😀

  21. Buffalo Guy

So has anyone tried any other flavors for the express, or is it just because it is the only one when the ad on it?

  22. robyn

i can’t get the coupon to print. very annoying.

  23. Dorothy

Thank you so much for posting this!! I have $10 gift cards from the Sobe deal a while back. 20¢ for 10 bowls of oatmeal! Awesome! And then I get $10 back! My husband will love this!

  24. Tera

Has anyone been able to use the $1 coupon on the quaker express?

    • sarah

      yep! just did it tonight.

  25. FrugalFriend

YaY! Thanks, got this last night. My store’s flavor is cinnamon (North FL). They had to manually deduct $5 because no gift card came out. But they called employees over there who verified it’s supposed to get the gift card.

  26. Christina

I found them at my regular target on the top shelf by the oatmeal. They were $1.17…still a great deal. I did multiple transactions so I could roll my giftcards from one to the next. thanks!

  27. luvmymadgab

I have a question. Does anyone know if you need to have web access on your phone to get these coupons? Also, will this work if I have a limited text plan (do they send ALOT of texts?)

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My target is giving me a hard time. They said that you can not apply overage from one coupon to another product. Is that true?

    • Kim

They are supposed to adjust the value of the coupon but some cashiers just push it through.

  29. Dianne

The oatmeals were 99c at my Target. I got 10 – decided to leave the other 10ish there for someone else. (Really thought about getting more, but decided it wouldn’t be fair to someone else.) Scanned the Brown Sugar one plus the other flavor – only the Brown Sugar one showed up as offering a $5 GC wyb 5. Picked up a Pictureka game ($5.24) and two J&J Bath Buddies bars. Got to the register…Problems! Despite scanning OK, the oatmeals didn’t generate a $5 GC. Supervisor had to come, get one of my oatmeals, go back to the shelf and look for herself. Begrudingly rang it up and gave me two $5 GC manually. Would not let me use my two $1 Quaker Oats Q’s, would not let me use the Pictureka Q, would not let me use the J&J Q’s. Told her to take the Pictureka and Bath Buddies off my transaction and give me back all Q’s. I was having problems with my little one and I figured that I should be grateful for being allowed to get the oatmeals for free. I may try to hit another Target later today and see if I can have a better experience. (Plus, the supervisor said she pulled the tag off the shelf to prevent future deals because it is “Obviously not right”.)

    • Tina in Virginia

I had a similar experience today. The individual oatmeal bowls are also 99 cents at my Target here in Front Royal, VA. There was a sign on the shelf stating the deal. I got five bowls and when checking out the computer did not prompt for the gift card. When I told the cashier there was supposed to be a gift card, he called someone to check, and what I had told her was verified. And then she actually QUESTIONED the supervisor and said “but these are only 99 cents each!” She then begrudgingly went to another register and got a gift card for me, but then claimed ‘the computer’ wouldn’t allow that gift card to be used towards the purchases on my next transaction. Grrr. I’m thankful I got it, though.

  30. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I am not close to a Target store and don’t get to shop there often…was wondering what you do to get the gift cards (such as oatmeal) do you send in the receipt to get the gift card or is it given to you in store?

    • I Heart Coupon Deals

After the cashier rings up the items (in this case 5 quaker products) the cash register SHOULD automatically prompt the cashier to scan a gift card. If you watch the cash register, after they scan the 5th product a picture of a very large red gift card will pop up on the screen.

  31. margaret in seattle

just sent husband to our local target and they are on regular price at $1.19. got 5 and used one of the $1 off coupon to get all 5 for free plus some pocket change. we eat the 1-min quick oat every single day and this could be a quick fix when we are short in time in the mornings. thanks, collin.

    • Heather@BecauseMoreisMore

Margaret, which Target let you use the $1 coupon? I didn’t even think to use it, since I assumed the trial size wouldn’t work. Still, 95 cents for 5 of them worked great for me. I got the last 5 in Everett & apparently Lynnwood doesn’t sell them?! I called to see if they were in stock before driving there & was told they don’t sell these. Odd…I may go later just to double check.

  32. emily

My Target would NOT honor the sale – even though the sign was up – they told me it was ridiculous that I was trying to only spend five dollars to get five dollars. I told them that I agreed that it was a crazy sale but that they should honor the sign. They wouldn’t do it. So frustrating!!!

    • Tina in Virginia

      So frustrating!

  33. Stephanie

I just did this deal at my Target in Tallahassee, FL. I got 10 brown sugar oatmeals for $1.02 each, and used 10 $1 coupons (my coworkers will print coupons for me from their computers LOL), PLUS the cashier (although extremely rude and self-righteous) gave me a .05 credit for using my shopping bag!! So I got 10 oatmeals and 2 $5 gift cards for a total of .10!!! 🙂

    • Tallymomma

I’m in Tallahassee too and they told me they were pulling the deal. 🙁 I must have just gone at the wrong time or wrong cashier.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was wondering if Target was going to pull this one. At the store I went to, they carry three varieties of Easy Express oatmeal, but only one was part of the gift card deal. I was wondering if it was miscoded (or if they’re just trying to move the brown sugar). I bought a big old pack of tp to try to keep the deal on the down low, but the cashier noticed and said it was worth buying just for the gift card. (Not really, unless you want to pay $5.10 for a $5 gift card!) Unfortunately, the stores in Richmond don’t carry much of this, so even if they don’t revoke the deal, I could easily see them not restocking.

  34. Jaclyn

I just went to target and they are having a promo on select Olay body washes. They were on an end cap and were packed with a free sample. The deal was buy 3 @ 5.50 and get a $5.00 gift card.

I ended up buying 3 Venus embrace razors and one Gillette fusion. Then 3 Olay body washes.
I used 3 – $2.00 off coupons for the VE and 1-$4.00 off for the Gillette. Then 3 free body wash coupons w/razor purchase. My total after gift cards was 2.96 for all of that.

Of course if you have the mobil coupon it’s a much better deal.

  35. Katie

My Target in Cumming Georgia did not have a sign and they were priced at .99 and no sign. i took them to the register but it didnt prompt a giftcard so I let them keep them.. will try to hit other Targets in the area to try. They were also sold out of the pictrueka (sp?) card game

  36. Hartless96

I have to tell you I went to my Target in VA and bought 5 of these and it did not give me the 5.00 card. So I had them call a manager to check because the sign said they were included. Thank goodness they checked because they were included and I did get my card. if I had not ask I would not have gotten it.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m in VA too and it didn’t prompt for the GC, but they gave it to me anyways.

  37. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The deal did not work for me. I was able to use 2 of my q’s but in the Louisville, KY area, you cannot get a gc. Maybe we have a different ad here……really bummed!!

  38. Elizabeth

I was able to do it in the Dallas area. I just tried the brown sugar (which is my favorite anyway) and it went through just fine. Will be hittng another target in the area tonight to score some more. I bought 25, but they don’t expire until November and this is something I can eat for breakfast so yay!!!! My store didn’t have a sign up for them, so a nice older gentleman checked me out. i said i wanted to make sure the gift card came up and he scanned the five and said it did. i did five different transactions since there was nobody behind me. Thanks for the heads up Collin!!!!

  39. Tallymomma

Went to Target and they said they are pulling the signs for the express cups of oatmeal. They are no longer honoring the $5 gift card for them here 🙁

  40. Sonya

I went to my 2 nearest Targets in VA today for this deal. Even though it came up on the price checker as getting a $5 GC, it would not do it at checkout. One of hte stores even had a sign up for it, but the manager kept telling me that it was crazy for me to think I could spend $5 and get $5 back. So, found out that instead of arguing even more about it, that I could get 4 of the individual cups plus one reg. size box and it would spit out the GC. No biggie, we are stocked up for awhile now. Just a note that YMMV when doing this deal. 🙂

  41. Jennifer

Hey, I did this deal twice at the Target in McDonough, GA. Great Deal! 🙂

  42. Jennifer

Oh, it only works on the brown sugar…I tried the others and no card. 🙁

  43. Heather@BecauseMoreisMore

In Everett, WA they were $1.19 each & I got the last 5 in the store. My guess is they won’t be restocking them based on what other readers are saying. Normally I roll with the punches & don’t get riled up about Target & their ever changing policies but this one makes me mad. Here’s why:

This deal doesn’t even require a MQ to score. I can KINDA understand when Target has a sale & we figure out how to make it even better with using Q’s (only KINDA understand; I mean, we’re not doing anything wrong, but whatever). However, this is Target’s own promo, they price their own products, & they decided which products to include in their own promo. So why in the world are they now getting their knickers in a knot because we’re actually taking advantage of their promo? It’s insane. If someone at Target corp. can’t think far enough ahead to say “Hey, customers will get these for free” than they need to re evaluate their corp. mgmt.

    • Lacie

They’re usually much nicer at the Lake Stevens store, but I’ve been to the Everett one enough to know whose line to go through when it comes time to use my coupons. There’s a very nice young guy who always pushes my coupons through and gives me the bag credit. 🙂 I’m glad I saw they are sold out though, I was going to stop there before work, but that’s one thing to take off my list. 🙂

  44. Tera

It was 97 cents at one in Charlotte, NC. It rang up on the price checker with a $5 gift card, but it didn’t prompt at the register. So instead of giving me a gift card, they just took $5 off the order. Fine by me! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

im pretty sure they just took $5 off mine instead of giving me the gift card although I did get my $5 gift card for the healthy choice

  45. Megan

Just got home from Target. Bought 10 of the oatmeal and got 2 $5 giftcards. I plan on heading back, they had a ton on the shelf:) Oh, I am in the Dallas area.

  46. Amy

Worked like a charm ……bought the only 9 on the shelf plus one box of instant pkgs…..paid about $12, but got $10 in gift cards…..thanks, Collin!!!!!

  47. Sheryl

Just got back…I was BUMMED! I’m in Mesa, AZ and someone cleared the shelf…..I only needed 5. I asked the folks there and they said a truck comes in Wed. but said they may not order more because they realized that it was a potential moneymaker. So whoever took the shelf thank you….please dont do that again, it makes it bad for everyone else!

    • Holly

Sheryl: Just remember, the person who cleared the shelf may have just taken the last five and not bought 50. 🙂

  48. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just a FYI, they may not had “cleared” the shelf. There may have been several people that bought 5. I bought 5 earlier and a friend bought 5 and there was only 2 left. They may have done the same thing.

  49. sab

they were $ 1 at my target in MD, so i got these completly freeeee! thanks!

  50. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Target was out of these and the cashier said someone had come about an hour earlier and got 25 at once. The register would only do the transaction one time to get a GC so the cashier had to ring her up with FIVE separate transactions. THAT is why we couponers get the eye rolls and foot tapping behind us during checkout. Not only were there none left for the rest of us but this cashier has now gone from someone that can appreciate a good deal to someone that dreads the couponer/deal shoppper. Good grief. Please respect the purchase limits.

    • Tina in Virginia

My feelings exactly! Let’s not get greedy, people!
