In the Walgreens ad it says “Excludes Nyquil Vanilla Cherry Swirl” under the Dayquil/Nyquil RR deal. Bummer 🙁

    • Amanda

Yes, and I just tried last night and they wouldn’t allow it. However the deal I did was bought 1 dayquil and 1 nyquil 2 for $10 and got $5 RR. I also used 2 of the $1.50/1 coupons. So I payed $1 each!! Wasn’t free but still an awesome deal.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes I was just about to right that. I was excited at first until I read the small print(excluding the swirl nyquil).

    • Collin

      Hi guys,

Oops! I didn’t even notice that it states that in the weekly ad, however, it has been confirmed that the $5 Register Reward IS printing when you buy 2 NyQuil Vanilla Swirl products.

      • mluks

It didn’t print for me when I tried it on Monday. So unless they changed it since then…..

The Walgreens in Morehead City, NC has Vicks Vaposyrup on clearance for $1.69 and I used the $1 off any Vick’s coupon that came out a few weeks ago to get a bottle for $.69 yesterday. No one ever feels like buying this stuff when they are actually sick, so it’s great to have on hand for the winter, just in case!

  3. Anna

Our Moose Munch is still “clearanced” at $2.79. Bummer! I love that stuff!!!!

    • Erin

Yeah, but beware of buying it on clearance. I got some at Target and it was stale.

    Hi all,

I just heard from Wild for Wags that the exclusion on the NyQuil vanilla Swirl is for the 2/$10 price (since it’s priced at $5.99). It’s not excluding it from the Register Reward promo.

      Collin,
I’m in Hubert, NC and I went to the Walgreens in Swansboro. I bought 1 Vanilla/Cherry NyQuil and 1 DayQuil. I ended up getting the RR for $5, but when I do the math, I’m still paying $1.49 + tax. The Vanilla/Cherry was $6.49 and the DayQuil was $5. What combo do I need to do so it’s FREE (counting the RR). I had 4 PG inserts so I’d like to get 8 bottles between the Swansboro store and Cape Carteret.

      Thank you so much! -Julie

PS: I did use 2 PG coupons for $1.50 each, and the $2 coupon from the September insert. My Vanilla/Swirl was a 10oz bottle, but it was $6.49. Sorry if I’m overposting but I’m new to this.

        • Jo

The vanilla/cherry was probably priced at $6.49 instead of $5.99 because thats your regional price… New York is generally a more expensive state, right? I did the deal just as Collin posted it, and it worked great… I got 2 bottles of Nyquil Cherry Vanilla Swirl for free:
          Buy 2 Nyquil Cherry/Vanilla Swirl $5.99 each = $5 RR
Use 2 1.50 Nyquil products and 1 $2 off from WAGS Sept. coupon book
Pay $5, Get back $5 RR = Free

I was just at my local WAGS and they had the Hershey’s Meltaway Chocolate Kisses on clearance for $1.79. There was a catalina that printed as soon as the kisses were scanned for $1 off. The cashier said I could use it on this transaction making them 79 cents a bag.

    • rossjulie

What’s this WAGS chatter? Is it a store or something online?

      • Sarah

        WAGS = Walgreens

  6. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I did this deal and the RR didn’t print…There was a line, so I didnt bother to say anything and wanted to make sure that I checked my ticket when I left.
Also, I brought in 3 $3 coupons for the John Freida deal and I noticed that the John Freida Root Awakening wasn’t included in the deal and was prices at $6.99? Am I confused?!
I have also been noticing that my WAGS and CVS’ seem to be “hiding” their weekly deals…I can never find certain items and sometimes the stores never puts out the sale tags on items.
Has anybody else also been noticing an increased number of “coupon shoppers” out? I never use to see couponers out in the stores, now everytime I go shopping I see at least a few people with coupon binders!

    • Chelle

I’ve done several of the “root awakening” RR deals. They are included in the 3 for $15 with with $5 RR!!!

  7. Rebecca

    Did this deal tonight…worked perfectly!

  8. Marylou

I just did this. I did not get the RR’s but, the vanilla swirl rang up at $1.39 each. With the walgreens coupon I only paid .83. Had I know it was on clearance I would have figured out some more deals. It could have been a $4.17 mm if I had planned it right and used the other coupons. Oh well, 83 cents for 2 Nyquil!!

  9. Jo

I just did this deal at my local WAGS, and also the John Freida deal. Both worked out perfectly! Thanks Collin… you’re so awesome! I got free cough medicine for this winter, and some really expensive shampoo for just $1.33/bottle!!
